GERMANY

Germany is unlocked for players at level 10 and is the second region in TS2. It will remain your current region until you reach level 40, and then it will revert to your previous region. This is a short region to complete compared to successive regions, but it is an important region in the game. Let’s take a closer look at the region.

MILESTONES IN GERMANY
Level 10: Region unlocked.
Level 11: Ship trades are available.
Level 12: Event participation is available.
Level 14: Timber in the region and the Sawmill station factory are unlocked.
Level 15: A permanent dispatcher is available. More details will be provided below.
Level 20: The Furniture and Textile station factory is unlocked.
Various: New buildings are unlocked and available for purchase from your building shop at levels 10, 14, 18, 20, 30, 35, and 38.

RAW AND FACTORY MATERIALS IN GERMANY
You will be able to obtain Copper Ore from the Copper Mine, Wood from the Oak Wood site, and Timber from the regional Timber Factory. You will need to complete various jobs to access these resources. For more information, you can click on this link here.

STORY JOBS
The story jobs are the ones that you will want to complete for the various rewards and resources that they provide. The rewards can range from trains, raw material sites, a regional factory, a gold coin source, a building, keys for train containers and small amounts of coins, gems, and even a few legendary parts.

A lot of the story jobs will unlock other story jobs. The majority of the story jobs are in a series of 5 tasks, but the first one has just 1 task, and some have 8 tasks in the series. All of the story jobs will need to be completed before you will finish 100% of the region, but you do not have to complete every story job before you reach level 40 and the next region. Some jobs you will want to complete as soon as possible, like BERLIN, but once a job is unlocked, you can complete them in any order.

There are 19 separate story jobs in Germany:
FIREFIGHTER: unlocks the Forest Fire job, it will reward you with the LRZ 14 train.
COPPER MINE: unlocks the Berlin job, provides copper ore when completed.
FOREST FIRE: unlocks the Viaduct and Lakeside Town jobs, provides wood from the Oak Wood when completed.
BERLIN: provides a gold coin source when completed.
LAKESIDE TOWN: unlocks the Hops Field job.
VIADUCT: unlocks the Broken Bridge job.
BROKEN BRIDGE: unlocks the Watermill, Factory Rail, and Castle jobs.
WATERMILL: unlocks the Bakery job.
FACTORY RAIL: unlocks the Borsig Factory and Timber Factory jobs.
CASTLE: only provides minor rewards of keys, coins and gems.
BORSIG FACTORY: unlocks the Observatory job, rewards you with the FS CLASS 670 train when completed.
TIMBER FACTORY: provides timber after you have delivered 1000 pieces of wood to the contractor. This is the regional factory.
BAKERY: unlocks the Inn job.
OBSERVATORY: unlocks the Blimp Factory job.
HOPS FIELD: unlocks the Brewery job.
INN: only provides minor rewards of keys, coins and gems.
BREWERY: only provides minor rewards of keys, coins, gems and even a few legendary parts.
BLIMP FACTORY: rewards you with a EP-2 BIPOLAR train upon completion.
BERLIN CATHEDRAL: this story job does not unlock until level 30, rewards you with a Berlin Cathedral building for your station city.

BERLIN
Berlin is the gold coin source in Germany. You can collect coins every 4 hours with your highest capacity train. It has a 1:4 ratio, so a maxed out 60 capacity legendary train can collect 240 coins, but if you have a maxed out 80 capacity legendary train, it can collect 320 coins.

DISPATCHER UNLOCK
You have the option to add your fifth permanent dispatcher at level 15 for 150 gems OR at level 26 for 500 saw blades. You have to understand that you get just 1 permanent dispatcher in Germany and you get to choose whether you will get him at level 15 or 26, and which payment option you will use to acquire him. If you do not have enough gems, or do not want to spend that many gems, you will need to stockpile all 500 saw blades before you can acquire the dispatcher 11 levels later. You might need to juggle your other items stored in your warehouse to make room for the 500 saw blades. If you are fortunate enough to time reaching level 26 with the end of a major event, you should have plenty of room in your warehouse after deleting the event goods. FINAL REGIONAL REWARDS
You will earn a LRZ 14 train upon completion of the first story job, the FIREFIGHTER job. This is a unique train that you can only acquire from completion of the story job. You will not be able to buy this train from the containers in your station shop.

You will earn a FS CLASS 670 train upon completion of the BORSIG FACTORY story job series. This is also a unique train that you will not be able to buy from the containers in your station shop.

You will earn an EP-2 BIPOLAR train upon completion of the BLIMP FACTORY story job series. This is not a unique train, and it is possible that you will get a duplicate of this train as it is available from the containers in your station shop. Still, a legendary train is a worthy reward.

You will earn a Berlin Cathedral building upon completion of the BERLIN CATHEDRAL story job series. The Berlin Cathedral is a stunning piece of architecture that will instantly add a base value of 80 people to your population and a maxed out value of 3382 people. This building will be a beautiful addition to your station city!

Germany is a region that can be completed in a relatively short amount of time, but you should be sure to spend some time getting familiar with this important region. You will not only acquire some valuable additions to your gameplay, such as the ship trades and the exciting world of events and competitions, but you will regularly be visiting the region to collect copper ore, wood and timber. A healthy fleet of trains in this region will certainly help you as you progress through the game.

If you are like me, though, you will take every opportunity to enjoy the delights of this region. Send the UP BIG BOY through the tight turns on a timber run. Watch the hard working gondola lifts that are running nonstop to the top of the alpine mountain on the left. Or you might be enchanted by the blimp as it gracefully glides above the luscious landscape. Are hot air balloons or sailboats more your speed? Then you are in luck! This region has so much to offer visually, it’s no surprise that it is one of my favorite regions to visit. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.
