Veja We would like to introduce a new end-game mechanic: Prestige Points! Take a look at it and enjoy the wait for the next region.
Personally, I wasn't one of the people chomping at the bit of 699 -- admittedly I've not been there nearly as long as some. But following the introduction of this hare-brained idea, the wait has never seemed so _un_enjoyable. Starting to tip into into the unendurable, perhaps. Maybe just give us a date for R10, and I'll set a reminder in my calendar?
The Prestige feature will last 7 days and will be supported by a competition.
"Supported by" seems an odd characterisation. "Consisting largely of" a competition, with rewards comparable to those from the three-day standalone. i.e., pitiful.
Once you reach the maximum level, you will stop receiving jobs with keys as a reward.
... why? This is a terrible mechanic, but if I could just have ignored it, and continued to do bluetop jobs, then no harm done. But instead it's being used to_replace_ normal jobs? Why not both? Or at worse, making them an option between the two?
Competition won´t start until there are at least 5 players ready to join.
I don't quite follow the logic of that. If there's only four people in the 'last' group, does that mean it just stalls out forever? And what purpose does it serve for the other groups? Sounds like this has no practical effect for them at all, if they can join -- or 'get ready to join', if you must -- and accumulate points. Are are you saying they can't accumulate points? That would be especially bizarre.
Complete jobs to earn Prestige points. Use them to collect great rewards in the reward section timeline.
That's really stretching the definition of "great". 3600 points to get something non-worthless. Then modest thereafter. Very modest. Even getting to 3600 requires doing 29 double-lock 'prestige' jobs, in the space of 7 days. In parallel with a Big Event. That's pretty significant.
Compare this with the at least internally coherent and consistent logic of bluetop jobs. We can at least opportunistically combine that with working on an event. It does at least give us rewards that are permanent and cumulative -- not a beggar-my-neighbour squabble for crumbs, in the form of a handful of parts.
Once we add a new region with new levels, the prestige feature will automatically turn off and you will start receiving regular jobs again.
Or hopefully when Pixel decide that this idea is an unmitigated disaster, and do a complete volte face, soonest. But given the response to the last unmitigated disaster, the 'city beta' likely not, until someone in HQ thinks of another way to make it even worse.
