I would like to buy Santa's toyshop/workshop and house on the new seasonal shop offers, but it is locked and just says Polar. I have no idea what this is. I have all the Christmas themes incl. Santa's polar. Can anyone help please

Yes, they are blocked at first for everyone. On the other site it says we have to complete Santa Contracts before they become available. Each part of the 3 requires three types material, 30,000,000 of each.

I didn't buy them at the time. They seem hugely expensive for the passengers they generate, and the animation/twinkling of the lights is non-op now. I am concentrating all my efforts on completing the current Santa contracts and the Achievements with the Penguin Hotel in mind...

karl54 I think James66 was speaking about Santa's Workshop, House and Tower... each at 16/hr. Looking at the Fandom site, it looks like (in 2016) they grow in size as contracts are completed, then fall into ruin. I wonder if that's how they actually work.

I sent a request for information about the Workshop 3 days ago but haven't heard back from Support yet. I think I'll go for Penguin Hotel after I've bought the trains/cars first. I was stuck in the house so completed the first 10 levels of Santa the first day... 12,300 stockings so far. Buying Penguin House will probably depend on if I can reach level 1000 before the contract ends.

It'd make more sense if the building, as a decoration, would recover every X-mas. Melt into a puddle after x-mas then rebuild with the next Santa.

Yes, it looks like they kept the value low until it was possible to buy Santa's workshop, etc. They can now be purchased if you buy the Polar theme... just waiting for the elves to show up.

pixel_player50423364 No. I bought them even when the values were 1 i.e. before the update - I just wanted to see what was what... it's not like i'm gonna miss the Mats nowadays anyway 😉

I got a reply about Polar the same day it appeared in the game. From their email, they apparently forgot to offer Polar and update the value of Santa's buildings. The buildings are supposed to crumble at the end of the event. I hope you'll post if that's just the way the building looks or if they stop delivering passengers.

I'm liking this event. I bought 2 event Maglevs and cars, each delivering 215,000 (steel & nails) on a 20 minute journey. When done, I should have the same volume of fuel & U-235 dispatched by another pair.

pixel_player50423364 Where do you get this "supposed to crumble" ??? When these buildings first appeared as part of Santa 2013, they were built as part of the contract at Santa's Station. There were 4 stages, the last one being the BURNED DOWN effect. They do not burn down at players' stations... 90 M per building for 4 weeks? I don't think so! Usually items like the Santa buildings will repeat how they previously worked.

That's why I'd like to hear from people how their building works. It says, "This building is seen to build in stages while completing Santa contracts." which I assume, after completing the final contracts, the building has crumbled to a burned ruin. I'd assume, if a person can't get thru all the Santa contracts, the building would remain unburned.

Period. This is the first time that they have been offered to players to build at their own station - try actually reading the page you linked for yourself!!!

Yep, we'll see. The site points to the 2013 event for other years... no mention that the building doesn't burn down.

James66 I'm not advising either way. What seems silly to one person may be the ideal decoration to another. I assume the building will continue to pay the same value if the icon shows as a burned out hulk, but there's no info either way.

243,000,000 material seems a high price (to me) for such a low value building if it stops twinkling. There are buildings that are 1% the cost and have 3 times the payout/grid... just not as decorative.
