This game is all about pay yourself first. When you have reached lvl 400-500, with more and more slots, sets, wagons and locs, it gets more difficult to optimize your goods and gold inward. The below ideas will help you with this process.
Start with building up your fleet in the depot slots prioritizing sets. Build up the non sets as well with the suggestion the game gives you. Highest value wagons and locs will be suggested automatically.
You should when building up your fleet check the amount per track as there are uncommon locs now. The game will suggest the highest revenue per train, so compare uncommon revenue per track vs. Common prior sending to the depot selecting the highest revenue per track. For uncommon revenue per track, divide by 2.
Although sets give you a bonus, itβs not always giving you the highest amount per track. Make the comparison in the depot after you built your whole fleet and select the trains, set or non set, with the highest IT revenue per track to send to your local tracks. If a train gives you the highest output on IT it will also do so on your local track.
if you have excess wagons, it might be a better choice to use large diesels instead of electric for passengers to not letting them idle. Keep this in mind with your medium range wagons and again compare electric vs large diesel. There is a break even point somewhere in the middle, where large diesels perform better than medium-small electric trains.
The rest of the trains can be used for IT to send to your friends and Svetlana if available. When Svetlana has 10B cash, you can build the Pushkin statue, this will give you 256M xp per statue. When built, immediately sell it to get 2B back on her account.
repeat this cycle after about every 100 levels, dismantling the trains of which the yield seems low and build up again doing the comparative study. In due course you gain new sets or wagons which gain more yield, use them asap . For the gold trains, replace lowest output train with your new shiny set and use the one you removed on IT.
For highest return of gold with non sets the priority for loc usage is as follows:
-with special Mars destination
- Maglevs
- electric
- big diesels
- steam
-without special Mars destination
- electric
- Maglev
- big diesel
- steam
-freight with special Mars destination
- maglev
- diesel
- steam/electric (I never use this for freight with exception the Commodore set you can win with Cornelius. The special building for 20% extra steam freight capacity on IT is useless once diesel becomes available. Why use 120% steam if you can use 140% diesel. Keep the gems in your pocket)
freight without Mars destination
- Diesel
- Maglev
- steam/electric
When special Mars destination is available, Maglevs are the best choice. Per run they will give you the highest output in the shortest time. Even with event destinations, Mars will be the better choice compared to event destinations. Only 7m Metropole is better than Mars.
For the weekly challenge collecting materials, build up all your sets containing the material, regardless whether there are other materials in the set too and send them to your local slots. For the rest of the wagons use uncommon locs as much as possible, Highest % wagons should be combined with uncommon locs. When no more uncommon locs are available, use your largest common diesels / Maglevs to avoid idling of any wagon for highest revenue.
it's a pity you cannot sort the trains on output in depot op and on IT and local tracks, would be a valuable addition to the game.
My gowth rate in level March: Started on lvl 1563 on March 1st, today March 21st I am on lvl 1687. Leveling up 6 levels per day using gold to buy Wagr locs. I have to add that I completed all contractors and achievements, so IT is available for gold trains only, sending each train to Svetlana and a single friend or also maintain the social aspect of the game. All manual, without auto clickers but yes, with buying gems ππ.
I am a supply chain professional in daily life, and the nice thing is that I was able to use all my knowledge and theory to formulate the above strategy. Enjoy!
