Welcome to TrainStation WebGL version - the good old game made with brand new tech! It’s still the TrainStation you know and love, but re-coded with new WebGl technology.
What does this mean for you – the player?
Mainly that playing TrainStation od PC will feel a bit different than before. Some features have been reworked and improved (such as station construction or the news system), and some things are still being polished to resemble the old game. Let us know what you like and what you’d like to see changed!
Why did we re-make the game?
It‘s been more than 8 years since TrainStation was first released on PC. In this time technology has progressed by leaps and bounds and the old TrainStation code didn’t cut it anymore. So much so that there was the danger of the game becoming unplayable! That’s why the whole TS team has worked hard in this past year to remake the whole game with new WebGL technology. In the previous month we’ve worked with the core community to smooth out the rough edges to bring you this new version. We hope that this change will allow you to enjoy TrainStation for many more years to come.
What are the main new features?
Edit Station mode – station construction now takes place in the Edit Station mode available in the main menu similarly to the tablet version, more info in this thread https://forum.pixelfederation.com/trainstation/d/43497-new-building-mode
New News System – The one you’re using right now, duh! Here you’ll find even more info about current events, changelogs and news history.
Improved Leaderboards – It’s now possible to view your rankings even among friends.
Game Settings – Game settings are now displayed in a separate window.
Balloons and Chests spawn on all stations
Improved Leaderboards with info about your friends’ rankings.
Hyperloop Rail Converter - more info in this thread https://forum.pixelfederation.com/trainstation/d/43498-new-hyperloop-refit-extension

- Contractor batch notifications will be added later
- Sounds of arriving trains might be a bit delayed for now
- Disassemble option in the Train Manager when editing a train will be implemented later
- Minigame is still running on Flash and will be modified soon
Additional notes:
- Train Fade and Hide Flags options have been removed due to technical reasons
- New item in Shop/Storage notifications work the same as on tablet version
