Suddenly in order to add train slots I have to have millions of Hyperloop materials. This is stupid! These hyperloop trains carry such a wimpy amount of materials and I lose 2 to 4 hrs a day with them because they only run 8 hrs. Why not have an option if you want to use regular materials or hyperloop materials. It's a shame I've put so much time into this game to have it ruined by stupid crap like this. Oh well that's life, maybe it's time to find something new.

Fred_Wilson hyperloop mats slots were added a couple of months ago (normal slots for a long time were limited to the one before the hyperloop mats slots started)..its a bonus they are there at all, not something to ditch the game over cos you cant afford them

Fred_Wilson As Derek has already said, those slots are 'bonus' slots, just plod away, you'll get there in the end.

are you unable to run the hypers at any shorter run times? - Im not suggesting 5 min runs - but even 8 1 hours runs would bring in more than 1 8 hour run - even 2 4 hours runs would be slightly better

In regard to the overpowered gem locomotives compared to coin trains, lets hope they make it fair for free-players and always offer them for both coins and gems.
Currently they offer the gems version a few levels earlier as the coin versions for some but not all....
Currently im only using my earned gems to buy Free tax locos only 😉

Think of it like Giovanni. Slow and steady. At least something to shoot for. It will probably take me years to get all of them running 50 HL slots local, but 8 hour runs. And then I will have to go for the Honeycomb and Sunlight Villa. Ha. Maybe a decade. Ha

The spirit of the game is slow & steady and all good things come to those who wait. I've been playing Trainstation quite intensively for 3-4 months AND holding down a full-time job. Now I'm in the "Level 500+ Club" I'm slowing down a touch...but still playing daily 🙂

Well that's unlikely. Pixel are a business, with staff, if there's no reason for you to buy gems, you won't buy gems and they can't pay their staff or run the servers and the game goes away.

Gems items will always be better than coin items, and they pretty much have to be!

I asked that all gems items would be offered for gold also, with a few levels in between the gem and coin versions.
They already do this but not for all gem items.

Besides internet game companies have more options to gain funds besides direct sales to players.

I have to laugh. Yeah me too, and whilst there are all kinds of things game companies can do to make money without direct sales most of them involve advertising and I hate advertising with a passion...

What I like about Pixel games is that the P2W is subtle, it's there, but it's not required. If you want to play these games for free, you totally can, but there is a bunch of stuff you probably won't have access to. Also they keep the ads to a minimum. I actually don't really like the new speed up mechanics, partly because it doesn't work all the time, but mostly because it's ad based.

As with all things in life you work out what is and isn't acceptable to you and decide if you will continue to play based on that.
I stand my my comment that it's unlikely that Gem quality locos will ever be released for Gold regardless of level, it's just not part of the way the game 'works'.
Plus can you imagine the outrage from people that spent gems on a x power HL this week if a similar one appears for gold next week?! #callaWAAAAAAAmbulance

My outrage is slowly building up every week during the last months.
Nearly all the Maglevs I bought 2 years ago in SO/VO for hard earned or bought gems are now moving to the shop for money.
One reason why it didn't erupt is that the cost now some billions of gold and need levels above 500 and have a limit of one.
The other is, it removed a little the P2W in the game. All the maglevs which went to shop aren't "buyable" from support anymore.
I got a friend around one and a half year ago. He bought at level 120 all available maglevs from support and every weeks SO electric. Runned the maglevs on local, swapped with the electrics gold, and reached level 1000 in less then 9 months. Since half a year he is "sleeping".

Besides the mentioned maglevs, you will find in the shop many sets, most of them electric and some diesels, where you are able to get them some levels earlier for gems, but who really will pay these amount of gems for such "junk" compared to SO/VO engines/sets.
