We didn't reject to begin with. Here's my very first post. It is also the very first post by a non-mod / non-admin on this forum.

Ste_Di The technology continues to evolve, you can refuse it or work on improving it.
We aren't complaining about technology or the new forum. We are complaining about the missing features that are essential. Does any of my point criticize the technology or the fact that a new forum was created ? The entire post is about terrible design choices that were made, which has nothing to do with technology.

We did our part by giving suggestions. They weren't acknowledged before. They aren't acknowledged now. Your post literally screams 'stop criticizing and be happy with what you're given'. What do you expect more from us than giving suggestions / pointing out pain points ? Do you want us to come design and write the code for you?
Ste_Di which also costs some time, which you have to give the developers too.
If the forums weren't ready, why were they released as final product ? Why is this not a beta release with option to go back to the old forums until those changes were made ? If you release a beta product as final release, you can't say "give us time". If you would've taken few more months to finish it and then release it, nobody would have been angry. In fact, people were criticizing lot of things, but nowhere I saw anyone complaining about old forums. It would've been okay to delay the release by few months.
