[FROM: Richard Robinson]
Tuesday marks my 2 year anniversary of trainstation...
When I completed my 1 year anniversary - I posted :
In which I discussed what to do next.
Going forward - there are a few ways I can go:
Simply play every so often - popping in now and again top check on the trains
Send all trains on 1 week long runs and relax
Play as and when I feel like it
Simply help new players
Or turn to the dark side.... and power to lvl 1500 :)
As yet I honestly don't know what I will do when I reach the magic 1000. Probably a combination of all of the above!
At the time I was just under lvl 1000 - with just about everything completed.
Looking back, one thing is certain - I turned to the dark side and in a big way...... joined an awesome gold swap group - and ran trains like crazy!
I cannot believe that rather than lvl 1500 - I'll be hitting lvl 2000.
There have been amazing changes to the game - especially in the last six months, but sadly this game has got too easy and too fast to reach endgame.
This time, the decision is easy - far less time on trainstation. There is nothing left to do in the game - and I have no interest of chasing after the top players - who are at 2150+ already. The mechanics of levelling is getting crazy. Buying and selling half a million WAGR to just get 100 more levels is insane.
Trainstation has lost far too many good players. A lot of good advice, experience and knowledge has left.
Unlike them, I am not quitting, I will continue to check in and complete contractors / achievements as they are released.
BUT I will be playing a LOT less - and visiting here less. I have already left the gold trading group, my IT fleet will be left gathering dust and locals will only run as and when I feel like it. I may find in a few months that I really miss trainstation and return full time but I doubt it.
Please dont send me trains - as I wont return them - I feel especially sorry for those hwo have sent huge quantities of gold overthe last 2 years.
So thanks to all those that have helped (too many to mention) - it has been a real blast - just time to move on.
... and just shout if I can help!
