This is just a heads up, that another clean-up will be in 7 days, on 18th October. You have one week to exchange old event materials from the Bermuda triangle event ( such as . , , or ) in your warehouses and inventories for materials of your choice. After this date, they will be exchanged for materials automatically.

Jeweler is especially funny case. It may fool new players who don't know they way around the game, but later on, after they realize true value of gems (and "negative value" of fuel and spades) they will feel like being played (and rightfully so). Trade short-term gain versus building long-term relationship with the players much?

What would be really nice would be the fact that the programmer's actually played the game. They often seem out of touch. Highest value in the game is gems, I'd be a fool to give them away.

pixel_player44015436 Looking at it another way, you have been clever enough to identify that there is no value to you in that part of the game. That is the whole purpose of the game is it not?

That doesn't necessarily translate to the game Programmers being 'out of touch', nor evidence that they "don't play game".

Well, it's an open secret that game updates are tested with godmode accounts including ships way above the level and literally a million gems. So the test circumstances are as far from reality as I am from getting a Nobel prize. And I kinda doubt that many devs still actively play the game, especially not on lower levels. As a proof for this I see the weekly new ships with its ridiculous and useless stats. So in my book, yeah, they've lost touch. To the game and to the players too.
I won't argue that they are still developing, but they are missing the target more and more. By now, they are closer to scoring an own goal than anything else.

I am also mystified by the weirdly small cargo numbers offered for most new ships now. CMA CGM Concorde just added is a 5 anchor ship that maxes out at 2350 cargo. Nearly all my 4 anchor ships are bigger than that (apart from the exploration ships). I was already playing when the first, undersized 5 anchor ships were introduced and my smallest 5- anchor ship has max of 6209.

I'm enjoying the treasure chest explorations. I haven't hit the bigger reward yet, but even the other ones have useful stuff. Anyway, I can't see complaining about a straight up give-away like that.

pixel_player979355845 I'm mostly complaining about how it was done. Even if we put aside kinda useless rewards (chests are not that different from regular chests we are getting every day anyway) It could be a more challenging at least. It could live up to the proud name "Mini event", you know.

Witness the all powerful 2 anchor Octoberfest. Still in use and it's not even fully upgraded yet.

Holy Toledo. Fully upgraded, your Octoberfest would be more than 3 times the size of my biggest 2 slot ship.

My best outlier is Berge Stahl. At 4 anchors, 11605 cargo, it is bigger than any of my 5 anchor ships. I think it's one anyone can buy, once they reach the necessary player level.

I see your point. It would have felt more like a treasure hunt if we only got one or two balloons to start and had to uncover another one or two, then another one, and so on. I did like that we were exploring in Kraken territory.

So, 1hour ago I got the DEMETER ship.

Fine!
So where now to find the neeeded contracts to level up the ship?
Only 20 days left to run the whole 10/20 upgrades.
Time is short and no contracts on sight to earn the red and/or blue gems 🙁
Only massed balloons to survay treasure chests !
Could only affort maxium 1 each to popup the balloon and to open a chest within 2 hours.
After girl contractor (to get the ship) a new 20 contracts guy appeared.
Have I to run first all theese 20 contracts before I am able to begin the hunt for the damned upgrade gems 🙁

Once you have completed Christina then you need to look for the correct exploration site to reveal the "Crossroads" thus enabling either Dracula or Van Helsing, depending if you want crew upgrades (recommended) or cargo upgrades (less recommended) of a combination of both (definitely NOT recommended )
You do not have to service Jonathan Harker to upgrade Demeter. You can safely ignore him for the time being
Do not confuse the exploration site you need with the others for the "mini event" These are located in the lower half of the map.
As far as I remember the one you want is higher up on the map.

ElTrainAllen Hello there, in the very north of your map there is a Van Helsing l. with his 4 contracts. After you complete all of them you will receive another Capacity token to upgrade your ship Demeter. There will be 9 crossroads altogether, where you can always choose Count Dracula or Van Helsing. After 4 tasks they will grant you a Capacity or Crew token (depending on who) you choose on a crossroad, which together it makes 36 tasks. If you focus on these tasks you will easily complete 🙂

The mini-events Jeweler 💎 or Find the lost Gold ( the one with balloons) are voluntary tasks which you can decide whether they are worth for you or not. All information about both mini-events you can find at the top of this page 🙂

Ok, I got it and found out only the north balloons are leading to the 9 x 4 Dracula and/or van Hellsing contracts.
But there are in total minimum 44 up to 54 rounds to run not only 36 to get the tokens.
After each token goal are aditional one or two (depending on opening the right or wromg one) balloons and chests to pop up/to open.
Not every needed number of the right stuff was in my personal storage and first had to be sampled before it could being spent to the contracts. So additional time was to invest.
By using different combinations of 1 up io 5 slot ships out of my total 510 vessels with a number of 25x (mixed from 3-5 slots) and up to 95 x 1 slot ships in each round, it took me total pure 50 hours to get my goal. If I didn't got infected by covid and had to stay in qurantaine to be able to spent 10 hours a day for seaport it would be hard to make it at all.

My "quests" are stuck on Ernest.
Supposed to complete contract # 51 before I can progress in the quest(s).
Stuck at level 356 in that overall quest.
Not sure where level 356 comes from or what I even did to get to that particular level.
Now, since I do not "chase" the "contractors" -
Am I permanently stuck there ?
The last two contractors showing, where I left off YEARS ago, are Margaret and Isambard.
Everyone plays the game differently and for different reasons.
I'm not even sure how far apart Margaret and Isambard are from Ernest.
But now, Ernest [ 51 ] ??
The reward is [only] 2 gems and 2.8M fish.
Not quite worth it at all, soooo...
I guess I'll never finish it.
Currently level 991. 9 9 1.
Why, at this level in this game, which certainly does not happen overnight, 6 + years now - am I so much at the mercy of PF to be able to upgrade on a constant scale of continuity, all of my infrastructure?
If I run my game as a business, I DO, have, and will continue to make a profit.
If I [were] a business, I would certainly, since I have no stockholders, reinvest my profits into that infrastructure.
Why does my level 991 game still look like nothing more than a small village -
where are my skyscrapers?
192 total slots until next town hall upgrade appears - whenever ! ?
Then, TH upgrades take over 10 days to mature and the other facilities take over a week ?
Oh, of course I could spend precious mass quantities of gems for immediate, but it makes no difference even if you did spend gems - the next upgrade is still weeks away.
Train Station sells its "bonus" slots for gems only.
I suppose at least SP gives you a choice...
and SP is much more "free" about rewarding gems too versus TS. Good things !
But the "throttling" of the game by PF is not condusive, imho, in allowing my game to progress as fast as I can get it there - based on how much daily time I am willing to put into playing AND at the same time, preventing gem wealthy players to advance dependant upon how much money they are/were willing to spend to play.
Some balance must be maintained in that regard,
I understand that.
But where are my skyscrapers ?

I like not having skyscrapers. It seems we opted to leave the base of operations for our shipping empire in a small port town, that's all. We probably have the mayor on our payroll.

Ernest Shackleton doesn't open up until Player Level 275, whereas Isombard Brunel opens at player level 145 and Margaret Hardenbroek at Level 165.

I don't understand how you could have all three working at once. I remember there was a time early in the game when the contractors were on two separate tracks, but from the wikis it looks like Shackleton follows in a direct line from Hardenbroek, with several others to finish in between, each opening the next.

Back in 2019, we had a South Pole event. Did we also get Shackleton as a contractor in that event? I'm not surprised you are getting conflict messages if there is an old event contractor still hanging around in your game. You may need to do a fresh install because it sounds like your files may be messed up.

Once we get there, the permanent contractor Shackleton doesn't request anything out of the ordinary.

Your math is off.

It's 4 gems with ads. Plus it will open up additional tasks each of them are additional 2(4) or 5(10) gems. Plus, doing regular contractors will give you around 100 gems per each (and frankly, at level 900+ doing them all nor time consuming, not difficult). So, from the pure "doing business" perspective both, tasks and regular contractors are very lucrative - trivial effort and resources needed, massive gain in gems in return.
