First, you need to have Nellie Bly unlocked and then the location of this mini-event will find southern below your Port.
Goal 🎯
There will be 5 destinations with Andi Jonas who will have for you 3 quests.
Be careful, there will be 2 exploration outposts but only under 1 of them you find Andi Jonas
Rewards 🪙
Rewards will be expedition bucks

For such a small graphic it's pretty close, especially considering it isn't a flat rectangle but waving with undulations. Sure the white spacing around the skinny red line isn't exactly right, but IMO that's nitpicking, especially considering it was done in a hurry and offered as a kind gesture.

Maybe I'm just more used to it, since nobody could cram 50 stars into the blue part of the US flag in a graphic that size.

I understand your policy - ugly designs for players above level 500, but keep a minimum of decency, for the limits.

Namazu I've been wondering that myself. I mean, a cruise-ship with 27000 cargo? Not very realistic, but on the other hand, it's a game and most big ships nowadays all look basicly the same.

Don't know if anyone noticed but we've been getting a few warships (Nimitz) in the game. Also not really used for (normal) cargo, so it got me thinking if PF may have been thinking about getting a little warfare into the game.

It's not the first time PF missed the opportunity to do something nice and I'm sure not the last. Also, I wouldn't call they policy "ugly designs for players above level 500". It's just where are not a lot of us there and game if not completely on the life support yet, pretty close to it. So, they don't care much/don't have enough resources.

The graphic in the update post was wrong and so was the graphic in the main port view. The "skinny red line" as you put it, officially the Saltire of St Patrick of Ireland was missing. You have obviously only signed in after it was fixed , so never saw the erroneous version.
In your honest opinion it may seem like "nitpicking" To others who are more patriotic ; and I am not a member of the "woke" generation, it was an offence to see our flag wrongly represented.
Having spent over 25 years in the armed forces of the United Kingdom in service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll and the current events following the passing of our sovereign, I felt the need to point out the error.
The fact that Pixel Federation actually made the gesture was appreciated. But it falls flat if the representation of the flag was incorrect.

It seems however that PF fixed it because i'm seeing the right flag in the game.
Back when we had 8-bit graphics and dial-up, probably noone would have noticed, but in the present day IMHO it could have been right from the start, if it wasn't. Didn't notice until I saw this post so i can't say if it was wrong in the beginning.

We have gotten aircraft carriers earlier.

Are you thinking some enemy is going to start attacking our ships so we need to start sending warships with them in convoys?

Or maybe the old Pirates and Travelers premise, where our ship is attacked by a pirate and it's cargo stolen (or maybe a ransom charged).

Personally, those random breakdown concept that other games employ are mostly just annoying. I've never understood why developers think it's smart to cause players to close up their games to wait out these disruptions.

There's also the issue of how ugly giant cargo ships are in real life. They are, basically just flat barges with a minimum of superstructure and they do look a lot alike.

So, PF can do fanciful things like turning aircraft carriers into cargo ships (in which case somebody complains) or they can give us more not-thrilling container ships (in which case other people complain).

Maybe we need a thread where people can post suggestions, links to pictures of ships they would like to see in our games.

I don't understand what they are calling a minigame. I did get Andi Jonas, a new challenger-type contractor after an exploration or two, but I don't get what makes him a mini-game. He works just like Christina - requesting massive quantities of event items in exchange for massive amounts of XP. The only real difference so far is her final rewards are pass tickets and his are bucks for buying expedition tools.

I see from Selbie's Blazor site there is another contractor named Bella who gives us 3 expedition shovels and fish in exchange for 1 gem.

I can't tell if she is a one off or if she pops up multiple times. I didn't see her anywhere after Andy's first set of contracts.

You're certainly aware by now that pf just doesn't listen to anything players suggest or demand. Only when they are flooded with complaint tickets because of bugs or bs gameplay updates, they kinda react. So posting any ideas here and expecting any feedback or even adaption by pf is obsolete and waste of time.
Just my 1/50 of a dollar.

I don't think it will help. The most glaring example of how PF just don't care anymore is the Thor Heyerdahl contractor. It's obvious for every player what Kon-Tiki raft (as an exploration ship) would be a great final reward there. For everyone, but PF.

So you could give them as many ideas as you want. In the best case scenario they took them and make out of them great premium ships.
