Hello, captain!
Bermuda Triangle Event starts today. What does it bring?

CONTRACTORS
Join Lawrence Ritchey (40 contracts in 10 parts) as he investigates the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle

Help Vincent Gaddis (30 contracts) with his book about the mysteries of the Triangle.

Assist Nellie Bly (10 contracts) with repairing her ship, so she can continue on her journey around the world.

Reset contractor Ben if you want another go at the event.

We've heard you and worry not, the global contractor may have run aground, but it didn't sink just yet.
Since there was only a few more percent left to finish the global contractor, we are giving you the chance to finish it.
The start of a new event lifts the global contractor back from the depths with your progress saved from the previous event.
Go and grab the booty!

The event is available to all players from level 20 and lasts from 30 August to 27 September 2022.

Game is still fun for those of us that have never played the event before. Also, this is nothing new with PF. They do it with Diggy all the time. Another thing to remember, they are planning to release 7 slot ships so that will be a ton of fun.

Or do what I am doing, which is sending her contracts out with the extra ships after the other 2 are done. This event is so easy that I can send to all 3 event contractors, a permanent contractor, a run of uranium, and still have ships left over for working on my personal project of maxing out the 1 hour destinations.

I don't actually mind. There must be a lot of newer players who didn't do it the earlier round, and I don't usually remember the speciifics enough for it to feel redundant. I just wish they would choose the ones where we got new ships. Nothing spurs my enthusiasm more than a free ship.

Note to PF - if you've also want to recycle Christmas ideas, the one with the five international Santa's was just about my personal favorite event ever. Just make it a little easier this time. 😁😁

I hope this is sarcasm. Relaxed Christmas was and is a strong top two contender for a "worst events ever" chart. Not only because of the tight time schedule, but also because of the sheer amount of tasks. So my vote is >FART SOUND<.

Hi, two points:

don't sell the turbines/rotors (whatever is called) or you won't be able to finish the girl missions 😭. PF is there a way to return them to inventory?
who is Ben that we can reset? None of the 3 contacts have Ben in the name. How to do it?

pixel_player51811321 Ben arrives after finishing the original contractors. If you sold your ships screws then you may have a problem. I'm not sure why it is available to sell so you may have to ask PF.

Right. Items that are essential for a later step don't usually show up in the Market to sell. I think this event pre-dated the Inventory tab. I guess all you can do is submit a ticket to Support and hope for the best. Thanks much for alerting the rest of us.

After twice almost selling a propeller for daily Market task, I've decided I'm going to play it safe and just deliver them to Nellie one by one as I get them. I have La Pensee sitting around not doing much, so I may as well.

Really, I wonder why they even gave us the Nellie contractor on Day 1. She only has 5 contracts and we can't finish her until we've done all of Lawrence's 10 sets of contracts, which take a while.

In hindsight, I should have given her contracts last priority after Vincent and Lawrence. Maybe they should have hidden her behind some clouds for a while to start.

Because it's a reboot of a few years old event. Last time, we've got the Carroll A. Deering as a ship to level up by delivering props to Nellie. Pf just simply cut that ship bit out.
And in case I didn't mention this before: shame on you, pf, boo!

pixel_player979355845 Well, not really "a while", I finished them all including Ben this morning. Not super hard just a lot of event commodities. I'm glad to have had her with the rest. You also get a total of ten props, perhaps a "just in case"

No, you'll need another five to unlock Lawrence after event reset. So don't sell them if you plan to start over or you'll be locked out.

Actually, from my pov it was crappy birthday. Everyone with a job or a family or friends or a hobby or similar time consuming real life stuff was really struggling to finish due to the tight time schedule. I hate being under pressure.

To be frank (well, I'm not, but I went to school with him) I didn't play the statue of disaster at all. Total boycott for multiple reasons.

I don't know what level you are or how many millions you have spent buying big ships, but the quantities I am seeing in this event are huge. I often cannot do both Lawrence and Vincent with one set of ships. When event commodities are requested, I typically am needing two turns to collect the needed quantity (more likely 3 when the ports had refresh limits).

Event commodities do take time, and that is the one time I cannot do both, but I am almost to level 900 and my main dock and TH are a fair bit behind my level but I have a decent fleet of ships.

I so agree. Once is more than enough. I work on my other game goals when I finish, if real life does not interfere and I finish early.

I noticed this time that even after "finishing" the event, including Ben's 3 final contracts, we still have not finished the 3 event commodity achievements. I did one set of Christina's contracts then decided to stop because all she is giving is massive XP, propellers, and pass reward tickets. Those extra propellers and tickets are not needed to complete the event or reach the end of the reward line. The extra tickets are only of much value to players who buy the Pass. (I think her contracts do result in pretty significant fish, lumber, etc. type rewards, though.)

So, having decided Christina is a not worth my time and effort, that leaves the option of buying several hundred thousand additional event materials to complete the Achievements just to dump them in the market. This is a change from the previous event where the Achievements were completed by the time we completed the event the first time.

I am getting tired of these guys breaking things that used to work fine.

I am level 814 so your quantities would be even larger than mine. Right now, Lawrence is asking for almost 21 million gold coins.

My docks are at max level (first of the latest updates in progress). My total active fleet cargo is 297,522. That order has a big multiplier, so I could (barely) cover it if I used every ship, but it certainly wouldn't be possible if I also was still working a second contractor.

I am thinking my fleet cargo capacity must be undersized for my dock space. Part of that at the moment is the big exploration ships I am keeping in my active fleet, but that's maybe 10 or 15k difference.

I'd be curious how much active cargo space other players near my same level have.
