Cpt.Redbeard Expedition and Competition start today. Find additional Map Parts in the expedition map.

Does that mean we have to do the expedition (I left out most of them lately) in order to find map parts that we'll need for upcoming contractors?

I was hoping the "additional" part meant that the necessary map pieces were obtainable without the expedition but that if you were struggling to get through the exploration and contractors then the expedition could help you out. But I have been known to be wrong!

I wish I was that far. I am only on the explore after set 2 of both those contractors are done and the other part is at 16/20. Too much real life lately plus having to balance the event with my need for uranium. Job board and expedition has not been touched aside from the free stuff.

I sure hope not or else I am in big trouble. There is no way I can finish the expedition and everything else with the event.

Do we know yet if the contractors will give us all the map pieces needed to finish? I don't see any more contractors for this event at the help site.

Do where know where the Expedition map pieces are or how we acquire them? From the maps on Blazor site, it looks like one in Expedition 1, one in Expedition 2, and two in Expedition 2. I really hope we don't need to finish any or all expeditions to get to the final reward. If so, I may as well just stop now.

RL has to be your priority. You do well to achieve what you do.
I don't do either the job board or the expedition, (my choice, as they were both originally intended to be "side" missions and I don't enjoy doing them.)
It would be totally wrong for them to be a necessity, to gain the needed map pieces. I still have one map piece still in my inventory, left over from earlier contractors, Ellen & Dechunk.

Thanks. I appreciate that. Yes RL does have to be a priority. I will pry just complete stage 1 again like I did on the last expedition. Things are just too busy right now to complete 2 stages. I do need chevrons though so stage 1 again, if I can, will be it.

The story ain't over yet, so we'll probably need it for part three.

I've done Chumwisk II, as shown above. I'm guessing (like Redline_Diesel ) that it will be needed in week 3

No, we don't know what the expedition map pieces are for. But when reading the event Info it looks (for me) like the 4 map pieces we collect from Ellen and DeChunk are all we need for the final treasure 🤔

I have 5 map pieces in my inventory ^^ After completing all quests (3 Expedition Map Stages and Chumwisk II)

Thanks for the info! Good to know. Now lets hope for us (the ones that do not want to or are not able to finish the expedition) that we will only need one of those 5 pieces to obtain the "treasure" and that you, and everyone else who completed the expedition, will get lots of goodies for the other 4 pieces.😉😁
