Thanks for the reply 😊 And the new account is kind of fun because I do not stress to finish anything, just playing.

For the record, I will also miss Coastline more than any other location. I am definitely using it more offen than small town.

I use it when I want to play other games while waiting for ships to go to the destination in that 30 minutes so then I can send those ships out for the next contract. Oh well, it will just mean ships sitting idle more often.

The use of the different times for collection from destinations really tended to depend on your level.
Early on I wanted the quick turn around destinations to buy ships and build things , later I wanted longer ones as the required quantities increased.
Also a bit like the plethora of captains scenario, it became impractical to be sending out all your ships to quick turnover destinations if you couldn't "sit on the game". Let alone running out of sailors.
Competitions requiring a quick turn around has blurred that a bit, depends what your game priorities are.
I feel that this is going to be one that cannot please all the players across all levels.
However if it does leave room for new features and gameplay............😁 bring it on 👍😁

Yeah I rarely sit on the game and that is why coastline is so nice but I can always just send to small town and get back to them when I can but it is not ideal.
Edit to add: The 4 hour locations are a bigger deal when I have real life going on and do not want to send to 1 hour locations as they are too short and 8 hour locations are way too long.

There is of course an answer.
Make destinations with the variety of times to complete, and rather like the farm and general goods give the player the choice of which commodity they want from each destination. You wouldn't have to lose anything, time or commodity wise and still free up locations. You just change the emphasis on multiple locations with different times for the same goods to multiple goods from same time destinations.

Lol and very true, I love the imagery. The redeeming factor was the bit martin said about allowing space for new things, so a faraway paradise might still be on the cards.⛵🌅

Interesting, It's one possibility that the multipliers might come into it big time. I had all destinations maxed as i'm sure most oldies did, so will be looking if the transition reflects that too.

Will upgrade levels be preserved for the destinations that are not disappearing, but merely changing transit time?

Standard Materials destinations (coin, wood, etc.) and axillary destinations (oil, and cement) are Permanent, all upgrades to them are retained.
Only Event destinations vanish at the end of each event.
Note; clouds removed to reveal event destinations, will return at the close of each event.

i hope new event start it got so boring when map shrunk santa snacks, tank tops, explosive gift disappeared and expedition map.

people spoke of of destination i only have 1h and 8 oil and cemen

/ only played for about 1 month

haha just after writing i open Seaport and se sport gear and other stuff 😁

Already really dislike some of the features of this new layout.

The 8 hour rocky mill destination is now clear on the other side of the map from the other 8 hour destinations. The 8 hour and 1 hour destinations should have stayed grouped together.
Previously maxed locations are now no longer maxed. They should stay maxed if we already had them maxed.

Would have been better to have all 8 hr destination in the same corner of the map + keeping 1hr stone, coin and wood where it was.

pixel_player607856987 1 hour Wood destination (Grove) is where Small Town used to be.

Martin, you have to complain to PF about Small Town for us. The new Sailor requirements are ridiculous for the new upgrade levels.
