Oh yes. I have been using both small town and coastline lately. Honestly, I think they should keep both as they are both very useful. I agree with you about that early mistake and bigger not always being better. I do not think I have outgrown small town, I just use it less so if they have to make a choice I would prefer coastline. But if they decide to get rid of coastline and keep small town, I would just use it the same way I use coastline now. No matter what they do not everyone will be happy.
Edit to add: I just used small town a few minutes ago as I was waiting for something for the job board to finish and it had 7 minutes left so I sent the 2 ships to small town quickly and then sent those 2 ships to market town to prepare for my daily tasks resetting.
