Thanks for the review and pep talk. 😃
I don’t play games on my iPhone, just the iPad, and I don’t think I’ve ever used the home button to navigate to the first screen. I use the home button 1) close an app, 2) double click to swipe away apps running in background, 3) together with power button to take a screen cap, and 4) together with the power button for several seconds to hard close/ restart the device. So far, I have completely loathed everything they’ve change to swiping up, down, sideways, angle down from the corner. All of them require multiple tries when I do want them and all of them launch unwanted when playing games that also involve swiping movements. It also means entire game screens will sometimes shrink and slide because the system is thoroughly unable to distinguish and properly handle swipes. Yet for some reason, Apple devs are addicted to them.
Apple devs totally love their swipes so much they even gave us a totally unusable, unmarked touchpad style remote for the Apple play box using swipes instead just giving us clearly marked arrows to tap like everybody already knows. It’s so bad a third party started selling their own, usable remote for it. Apple has finally come down off their high horse and changed their remote.
