MartinSchulz Expedition was not designed to be rushed through in a very short period of time, which is the reason why we have set the timer for it for 21 days.
With current settings the map is still too big. I calculated for my own account, that if I want to clear the complete map, assuming I will find a very short and effective route to pass all 1200 fields without needing much more than 1200 expedition fuel, I would need to play 50-100 jobs per day over the full 21 days to earn enough bucks to buy all fuel and pickaxes needed.
This impossible task would also make me level up around 30 levels alone. A single pickaxe would give me 2.3 to 3.5 million XP, 18 pickaxes would make me level up and I need 216 of those and in addition I also need fuel. So whoever decided to attach the expedition to the still totally imbalanced job bored did not have any idea how often it can be played per day and what insane amounts of XP it is giving.
In addition, even if a game task is meant to be played in 21 days, how do you think players should even find contact to the expedition, if you make 2 moves and after 5 seconds find out, you will have to wait at least the rest of an hour to buy something? The expedition is a complete stop and go, feeling like a traffic jam. You need to check it every hour for the shop offer, with a high propability of 3:2 fuel vs. pickaxes you will not get the pickaxes you usually need and wait another hour. So after several hours of waiting, you might do the next move or two. You need to be active in the expedition, but most times just nothing will happen. How can a game be done more frustrating?!?
Seriously, please let all those who decided for the expedition play it. With a normal account without god mode, unlimited gems and unlimited items. Try it for at least a couple of days and generate all you need for the expeditions from the badly done job bored. Then let's talk after a week or two if you really had fun playing this. I doubt you will.
So before you add something to the game which depends on the job bored, first make the job bored playable with massive changes. Or even better, remove both job bored and expedition forever, I will not miss them.
It would be good for the game to focus on the game itself again anyway. After an enjoyable first week the current event turned as worse as the one before. Not just awful competitions and the expedition, but even the event contractors were falling back to giving no other rewards than lots of XP and lifebuoys which you can exchange in the event pass menu for hardly the materials you invested here. So PF seems not to have learned enough from the Statue of Deaster event before. It would be a good idea to get rid of the expedition and competitions and invest the time and effort in doing acceptable events again.
It is the same with the competitions. It is of no worth for us if you just adjust a few things. We just do not need any player vs. player content in a single player game. If we would like to play against other players, we wouldn't have chosen to play Seaport.
Beside of this, I guess many new app and play store comments will contain the word "pay2win". PF's wish to grab some money from impatient and not good calculating players seems to have reached new levels of immorality with an expedition which can be bought by more than 9000 gems worth around 200 Euro and competitions where you also can buy the victory with gems, even in last minute.
I have seen lots of postings here from players announcing to quit because of the insane pricing of the expedition and the pay2win in the competitions. And I totally understand those, it does not make much sense to play these offers if they are not fair to play for everyone or just a trap for addictive payers. Both expedition and competitions for sure were very harmful for the trust in PF how Seaport is operated and if it is worth to stay here.
So there is a lot to do... or just an easy thing, just remove expedition and competitions forever. They were just bad ideas from the very beginning.
