We need to buy the museum upgrades ourselves to add more spaces.

At present, it goes up to at least level 49 (max 126 ships) but museum level is limited by our Town Hall Level.

Now that the Main Dock can increase to twice the size that it once was (after finishing all the upgrades of course), I don't see why anyone would want or need more museum levels at this point in time. But that's just my opinion, I guess.

The dock size only affects active fleet. I think the desire for museum spaces is more for the e tra revenue and to reduce the clutter of unwanted ships toward the right hand edge of the list. You know, those ships we need to wade thru to pick out our exploration vessels.

I read somewhere that they were thinking of changing the museum some how.At this point,I've stopped upgrading for that reason,fearing they might leave me feeling ripped off as they did when they changed the main dock 😃

When they increased the dock levels they stated that this was the first step in future plans for the game. Logic dictates that this then opens up all manner of upgrades for every building and further new content including 4 slot ships.

While I would like to agree, it is the same logic which came to the conclusion that we all love the competitions most. I guess I can not earlier believe in a concept behind the changes to the main dock until other changes are really done.

My museum is at maximum level and is full. I still have more than 200 redundant ships and it is very tedious searching through them to find the crew ships needed in an event like the current one. We need a change to the museum similar to the recent change for the main dock.

I am level 688 and have of course museum at maximum but still have there over 25 free spaces.....
I bought usally 2-3 low level ships on each evemt but still.....

I don't like how I have to scroll through a bunch of ships either. But that could also be fixed by PF giving into our demands of creating a better way to sort through our ships. They would both fix the problem, but personally I would prefer that over more museum slots. And let's face it, a sorting option and a museum refit probably aren't going to happen anytime soon (ugh!).

Besides, my original point was... with the increase of Main Dock levels, some of the ships in your dry dock will become part of your active fleet again. So for me, unless I'm absolutely certain I'm done with a ship, it won't go into the museum. I'm sure once I reach "end game" I'll have more ships in there, but I'm not at that point yet.

Exactly! Sorting options for the fleet list to easier find ships were asked for years, but PF keeps ignoring this. This feature will even get more important not just with the increased number of ship slots by new main dock levels getting introduced, but also because of the officially announced 4-slot ships which we will meet some day in the future and which will again make us buy new ships and having more of them in our accounts. A more useful museum would be optionally then.

Sort by cargo per slot, by total cargo and by crew, filter options to switch on or off showing 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-slot ships and maybe an option to reverse the list order from low to high instead of high to low, maybe even a full name search on top and everyone here would be fine with even several hundreds of ships since the game would become more playable again. Sadly, the development time for this essential feature was wasted for mostly unwanted ideas like a job bored.

I agree. The ability to sort the list by crew or by cargo would be more useful to me as well. Most of those small ships near the end on my list are not fully upgraded, so they couldn't go into the museum anyway.
