I cannot add a ship to the Museum

The very first condition is quite clear. Just those ships that have been upgraded to 5 stars (including the 7-star ships upgraded to 5 stars) have open doors in the Museum to become a part of it.
But there is one more important condition. Only extra ships that exceed the capacity of your active fleet can be placed in the Museum.
Please make sure that your Main Dock´s capacity is not equal or does not exceed the number of Ships in your inventory (either active or inactive, which does not matter in this case). That means that only Ships exceeding the Main Dock´s capacity can be placed in the Museum:

It seems that with the addition of ships taking up multiple slots (steam ships take up 2) it's not so simple. My dock is full, but for each steam ship I have, I have to have an addition unused ship that cannot be added to the museum.

I'm only around level 100, but because I have 2 steam ships in my fleet, I have 2 extra ships going unused that are totally unable to be added to the museum.

This is not to efficient - I 15 active ships (3 taking up 2 slots each) and my maindock is 16 - so since the amount of active ships are lower than main dock I can not retire ships to museum

Could you kindly work to fix this - please

Same situation here. I've been trying to work out what I was doing wrong. Seems it's the addition of the '2' for steam ships causing a problem that probably wasn't intended. I now have slots in the museum and unused ships that won't 'fit through the door'!

I bought additionally some cheep ships that I skipt during the game, like Sao Gabriel. so I've a chance to put the useless 5-star ships to the museeum. Burig, but it works

I hate the museum. That option was available back before all these sailor mystery exploration missions were available. Now you cant get the damn things out. If I want to ship out 28 sailing vessels out to do an exploration, I cant bc guess what. You cant get the damn ships out. Sorry but this Is lame excuse. the museum translates to the train depot in trainsation only that here, anything one puts on it cannot be taken out. R u kidding me. Great game but it feels more and more like a pay to play game filled with costly landmines along the way. If you are going to revise the gameplay then at least also change the player options along the way.

I want to be able to put ships in and out of the museum so I can read their histories once fully upgradable, I want to be able to pull ships in and out of it when the need arises …. instead is F U player, now you cant use these ships bla, bla, bla but here is some medocre coin.

pixel_player92255221 It is quite clear with you that if you put a ship in you can't use it again. You don't HAVE to put any of your ships in there (I have kept a few out on purpose for exploration tasks, as have others).
There is a dry dock, a (seemingly unlimited) space where ships live when not in use and also not in the museum from where you can use them when they are useful and put them back when they are not.

Before a ship is stored in the museum a warning pops up, that says that you'll never be able to use that ship again. Don't scream around if you can't read.

I am using the dock for storage of ships that I have bought prior to upgrading them to put in the Museum. I have an active fleet which is fine. The other ships I have bought are no good for sending out any time as they are too small but they are good to me for getting coins from the Museum. I have kept the 200 crew ships as they are good for exploration or when a destination has a high crew requirement. I have 112 ships in the Museum and have more to go in and now I have to upgrade it further to accept them. Bring it on. I don't have to be concerned too much about gold runs over night so now I can go for other things instead. Considering how I play the game this works fine for me.

Ah, so this is why I can't put my 5-Star La-Grace to pasture. I still have fleet slots open (13/15)
