Well, I hate to have my negative side come out again. But, there have definitely been changes to shipwrecks in the last couple months. And, the changes suck. Immensly.
I have only seen two tripple lock chests since shortly after they released the video doubler thing. Both of those chests have been in the last 2 days. Yesterday I got a 3 lock chest from a normal, daily shipwreck. I was excited. I thought I'd get gems or equivalents. All I got was a moderate amount of normal materials and an ass load of experience. No video from me. Lame rewards. Today I got my first confirmed 3 lock event chest from an event wreck. It had 1400 total event materials and an ass load of experience. Literally what one of my mid level ships could collect in 1 hour. No video from me. Super lame rewards. I did get 10 sextants a week or two ago (the first and only gem items since shortly after the intro of video doubler), but they came from a chest with a single, silver lock. I didn't notice if it was event or daily wreck.
I'm coming to a crossroads with the game. I'm going to stop collecting any event shipwreck from now on. The exp penalty is too great and I haven't seen anything worth the time. I think I'll collect the daily shipwreck because there's an achievement tied to it. I also don't want to collect the 2 social contracts per day. But, there's an achievement tied to that as well. But, so much exp for no gain in ability to ship stuff..... My crossroads is that I don't like playing a game where I choose which parts to not participate in because I'm trying to make it easier to play the other parts..... At least not significantly.... Not sure how/if I want to play this game long term. My wife would tell me to meditate.....
