Can't finish levels

I have this downloaded on my ipad. However, on several levels (Gnome Hideout and Mort's Old House), I am unable to proceed. This is where I have to place items on certain blocks in order to unlock a door but nothing seems to work. Please help, I love this game

For the gnome, the plots are not correctly placed, place them like this, you need to take count of the black power symbols direction on top of the plots + - |

And same fort Mort old house, check the direction on the top of the plots they indicate the direction where the power was delivered.
