SHIP TYPES IN NUTSHELL
It is no wonder that we are often awe-struck by looking at these amazing watercrafts and it would be a shame if we did not shore the experience in our game as well!
• 🚢 IT'S ALL ABOAT THAT SHIP
We believe that all of our Port Managers need an access to a ship menu to see the specifics and closer information of their fleet- we are talking about each ships rarity, type of propulsion and the region. All three of these categories play an important part in the different conditions of jobs that you, our dear Managers receive during your gameplay!
• 🗺️ WHERE TO FIND THEM?
The ships are neatly organized under your dock on the left side of your screen- under the giant cargo ship! There you can sea all of your owned and yet to be obtained ships Port Manager. In case you want to know more about the layout of the dock we recommend you to check out the article HERE.
• 📘 THE BOATIFUL JOBS
To keep the gameplay engaging and balanced for you our dear Port Managers, you will encounter a special type of jobs restricted by specific conditions limiting the amount and availability of your ships. These conditions can appear in all types of your jobs and the harder conditions appear the most noticeably in the event jobs.
Each of the jobs will be restricted either by a region of the ship, rarity or the type of propulsion . At the same time, the game can create either one, two or or all of the 3 conditions at once - limiting your available fleet to finish the job. The game also lets you know about the amount of suitable ships for this job- make sure to oversea and plan accordingly!
• 🔹 THE TYPES
Maybe later we will have the time to discuss more of a preferable types of the ships but so far in our game we have only 3 basic types which have an important role in the conditions of all of your jobs! You can sea the types in your dock:
Or by clicking on the ship directly to see all of its types on top of the opened menu:
The first category by which are the jobs limited is the Rarity. Each of the ships in our game have an assigned rarity therefore each of these ships requires different ship parts for upgrades and have different rates, by which they are obtained.
Each of the regions you unlock presents you with new ships in all of the rarities- collecting and upgrading more than one ship of one type of rarity is always recommended especially during events and story progression where you could be required to send only one rarity of ships from multiple of regions!
More often than know are our Port Managers confused by the different symbols and colors behind the ships but do not worry, you can only encounter these 4 types of the rarities which can be recognized by:
Color of Background in the Dock
Each of the regions consists of thematically tied up ships to the culture and importance of the city or the country which is why the Regional jobs and Regional material produce requires you to always use the ships tied to their original region!
During Events and Regular jobs, the conditions of required region may wary- make sure to always upgrade as many of different types of ships in different regions as possible to create strong and diverse fleet for all of the obstacles!
Last but naut least freely swap in your dock through the Regions and your available and not yet obtained ships in each of the Regions. Currently we have all of these regions available for you to explore and collect ships of:
TYPES OF PROPULSION
As the Marine ships use different types of propulsion, we also have a lot of unique and specific types in our game- that we hope will only grow! During your first explorations of the first 3 regions you will encounter 3 types of the ships- Wind , Steam and Diesel and within the 4th region Osaka you will encounter a new type of ships using Electric propulsion!
The most noticeable trait for the Wind ships are the sails- we are taking about a lot of big and useful sails that transform the wind energy into propulsion to sail across the sea- and all of that "cost free"! Nowadays a lot of Marine transportation businesses use the Wind propulsion ships to protect their environment and to minimize their carbon footprint.
Modern ships use the Diesel engine as their prime mover due to their simplicity, robustness and fuel economy in comparison to other propulsion mechanisms. These ships offer greater efficiency than the steam ships but for many years were of a smaller size in comparison!
In the old times the steam that gave these ships the name and which we see coming out of these ships was created by burning down the coal to heat up the water in large boiler. This hot water steam then propelled pistons in the engine causing the ship to effortlessly sail across the waters.
This type of propulsion appeared in the 19th century mostly in the small lake boats but slowly evolved as a propulsion for the submarines and the marine cargo ships! Nowadays a lot of electric ships are built to have own renewable batteries that fill while sailing- creating an ECO friendly route to transfer the valuable cargo!
❕ Please note that during specific big events you can also obtain an Electric ship from an event pass or event rewards! ❕
In case you obtain an Electric ship before you unlock the 4th region this ship will be added to the possible conditions that your regional and regular jobs generate only after level 111 - meaning that only after unlocking the 4th region the jobs will generate you the condition for the Electric ships! However there is one case when such players can get event jobs further in the 4th region with the following requirement: R3 legendary electric ship.
❕ Plank you for your patience while we adjusted this feature for you, Port Managers. Ship Ahoy!❕
• 🎉 Event ships
Even though the Event ships have an increased Power in comparison to regular regional ships, they are also limited by the conditions of the jobs- to make shore we are on the same wave, it is the Propulsiom, Rarity and Region !
While obtaining an event ship you can see its rarity and the type of propulsion but the region depends on in which region you are currently active when you exchange the reward from the event shop. That means you can plan around with your fleet and make sure to receive your brand new shiny event ship into the region, where you need it!
Well, the horns in the distance signal the end of this article! Plank you very much for reading this and sea ya later !
With ❤️ your Cm's Alz, Luc and Lenka!
