pixel_player64052454 if you are talking to me, then yes, I am using the day/night switch. And I have been there and optimized my camp to produce as much energy as I could as fast as I could.
Suddenly I was fed up with it. This is not why I started playing, to play for 5 seconds and wait two hours for another 5 seconds. So I made a new Diggy, with which I get to play a lot, and enjoy the old 100 gem events and actually want to use the in-game earned supplies to buy equipment I can use.
I leave New World Diggy on night mode most of the time because then I get real progress. The kitchen pumps out 6 piranha salads, so there is a bit of energy piling up.
My usual 'daytime' setting produces 147,000 in about 4 hours. And once upon a time I would have altered the day setting to produce at a faster rate. But in New World, I was really annoyed with the lack of proper new equipment. And gameplay has become boring. Every two hours go in, click a handful of tiles until the next two hour slot. It was not a fun way to play.
It is not my set-up, it is the flawed game design with idiotic "balance" goals that the devs want to implement to ensure that people with crappy camps are able to "compete" too and have crappy equipment suitable for their pathetic camps. Meanwhile, people who built good camps are penalized for doing so.
I solved it by stopping the spending of money. No more purchases of anything until the shop offers real improvement in the equipment.
