Greece Rivers of the underworld

I noticed that I an island with Perisphone has not appeared when I go in to the church building Towards the end of that level. When I then complete collecting and move into the next section get on the boat the shephard does not move and I'm still left with about 20 items to collect when all is see are the cows. I've gone through the whole level a few times just to make sure I'm not missing anything. I've filled a step by step guide to make sure. I've found the cave gone through all the bridges. Cannot fathom it. Please help.
