I play on 2 devices, a newer cell phone and an older tablet - mostly the tablet - maybe 3+yrs old.
placement of event name
I like this - now that its in the middle and the text wrapped I can see the full name more easily when previously i could not.
LTF and event pass buttons
Unlike other users, I'm left handed and I like the new placement of the last tile finder and event pass button. I am using mobile and previously 50% of the time, when I clicked on caravan I ended up in event pass instead. I also used to accidentally click on event pass all the time when in a map and that has completely stopped since the move.
I have no problem with the last tile finder location even on mobile, for some reason it doesn't disturb my view as much as I thought it would. Definitely needs smaller font to make the overall footprint smaller.
New stories section
I did find the the new stories section on the main screen confusing. It shows the original max length of time of each story - I would find the countdowns more useful. Also It requires me to memorize the pictures associated with the event. Probably not a problem most of the time, but slightly confusing when we have 2 X'mas, Birthday or Easters events.
Quests
This is my biggest problem. The quests UI when completing steps of quests is very laggy. So much so that I often don't know if I've actually clicked the next button and end up click the wrong button later when asked about the ad bonus. It has even been laggy enough that sometimes I did not even get to see the ad bonus screen. Its not just "slow" - its the lack of feedback after clicking the button - aka no spinner/indicator for me to be sure that the program is thinking and i need to wait. The new UI is pretty but ultimately did not bring more to the table than the previous UI.
Also the main quests tab is just simply confusing. So much so that I try to avoid its as much as I can - which is a shame because I really liked having the story, side story and event quests on separate tabs - which was a very nice change. Just wished I could have the old UI with the new tab sections.
