LuckyFour all the best to you, too.
Although you didn't question me on it, I want to explain why the gem prices are too high, especially on food.
The factors are
- Gem price & amount of energy being offered (& how long it lasts)
Vs.
- How long it takes to generate that much energy in my camp or by making food
And
- how long it takes to acquire that many gems
Let's take a current example. The current special pack has a food item of Plum Jam at 42,250 energy, with sticker price of 350 gems. One is allowed to buy a maximum of 15. I'm in New World, so these values might be different for you. This Plum Jam would almost be enough to clear a Diamond tile of 50,000. A more usual room contains a few 900 tiles, a few 1150s, some 2000, 2100, 3000, 3900 and 4000 tiles.
In my day camp, I generate 65,900 in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
I make Chilli Cake for 5800 per cake in 4 hours. Usually I make 6 at a time =34,800
I make Olive bread for 4000 per bread in 2 hours. Six at a time = 24,000
I make Piranha Salad for 20,000 energy per salad in 8 hours. Usually is my overnight food item, bringing 120,000 in food energy by morning.
350 gems is so ridiculously overpriced it's laughable. Except one has to wonder why Pixel would do this. Why rely on ignorance of the players to make money? It doesn't make sense to me.
Since gems are not readily available in the gameplay in this region, I rely on the 25 + 50 thru daily bonus (75 total every 20 days) and the gems that come via achievements.
Gems take a long time and a lot of effort to EARN. This is why I call those food items idiotic. They're an insult, a waste of bandwidth and a waste of gems for anyone.
There are lots of great game enhancements on which to spend the gems. Overpriced energy is not one of them.
