Have you contacted support, as we advised and pixel also advises?

They have to access your game to help you, and for that they need your player ID.
As I understand it, there will be no „magical “ fix from their side, they fix it individually. Therefore the need for a support ticket.

If you have contacted them and are still waiting for a reply, you have done all you could. I guess they will be pretty busy. Hope it doesn’t take too long.

Edit: I see now that you spoke of putting in a ticket earlier. Sorry, it’s difficult with the number accounts, hard to remember who is who 😉

Yes, many experience that. As you have come so far, please try the rest of the advice in my link. It has something to do with log out and log in again, on the portal and also here in the forum. I don’t remember exactly, but with the steps described there, it works. I have good friends now that started as a number and were stuck like you, trying to get a name, and in the settings there was the name, but it didn’t show in the forum. (Yes, beloved @CactusFlower and @44atDiggys , I‘m talking of you! 😉)

Eh, no, I thought you were one of the former number-problem-with name people… did I remember wrongly? Then sorry! Or do you mean the minute, where my „Wurstfinger“ hit the wrong tag and another „Cactus-username“ came up? I edited that, also sorry!

But really a username helps with helping. And getting one makes use of the waiting time for support answer…

Yes, you are correct that I was one of the ones that needed a user name and had a hard time getting it changed. Found out from '44' that I needed to change the name not only in portal but also on the forum. Log out and then back in on both...at least that is sort of what I remember. It worked and now I do have a name!

Really the latest update brought many issues, including the enduring server errors, bugs, ad freezes, …

If we are lucky, things will be smoother again with the next update on Tuesday.

I know, that’s not much comfort for all that wait for a support answer. I got one today, let‘s say for an unrelated issue, although I would like to blame the latest update for virtually EVERYTHING 😉, so they are working also on the weekend and on holy Sunday as well.

The ones dealing with customer dissatisfaction in support are very likely not the ones to blame for the problems. I bet, they are as annoyed as we are…
