You get a feeling for how things are done here in our forum. It’s a nice community.
Foul language or insults are extremely rare and we like it to stay like this.

If English is not your native language or you don’t feel completely comfortable with it, you could use automatic translation with https://www.deepl.com/translator or https://translate.google.com/?hl=de

For this, you have to mark a text. On mobile, just tap once on a position in the text. There should come a pop up. Then mark, tap again and choose „copy“. In deepl.com or google translate, you just tap once on the left part, then choose „insert“ and the marked text will be translated into the language that you selected on the right side.

By default, discussions in our forum are sorted by „Latest“. You can change that on the upper left of the discussion list. Important discussions are pinned on top. You find useful information there.

If you don‘t know where to start, check the „General“ category. For questions concerning certain locations you could go to your current region. On Mondays you should check the „News and Announcements“ by pixel representatives, that give important information about the next events. Known bugs and issues are posted in this category as well, so keep on checking!

I like to tap on „All discussions“ on top, because then you see more categories with one glance on the left of your screen:

The „Players’ champions“ will not be visible for you, that’s for us busy bee helpers 🐝😄.

Maybe you prefer the „Tags“ look, see what you like best.
If you choose „Following“ instead of „All discussions“, you only see the discussions you follow.
More on that is explained further down.

Write:

If you wish, let deepl.com or google translate your mother tongue (write on the left) into English (select that on the right side).

We have players posting their questions in many different languages, and then we helpers do this translation that I described above. You can imagine that this adds a lot of work. We are all players, nobody gets money from pixel, we help in our spare time. So it would be nice if you would do the translation yourself.

Choose your region, then your current location.

If you want to get help here in the forum, please always name your current location, also called mine. You find the name on the upper left corner when your Diggy is in it. Help can come quicker if you also name the god or dragon and your region.

Please try to write simple and clear. We are all players here and can’t access your game. This is a players’ forum and NOT Pixel federation support. Only they can access your game. If you ended up here in this forum by mistake, here is help how to contact the Pixel federation support:

If you don’t really need help with something but just want to vent, because something with the Diggy game made you really angry, please still bear in mind that you are writing to your fellow players here.
We have feedback discussions on several issues, where your feedback is very welcome. Often, we can help with information and solutions also, to make you enjoy the game again.

PLEASE DO NOT WRITE TEXTS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE THIS LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE SCREAMING AT US. ALSO IT GETS REALLY DIFFICULT TO READ, SOMETHING THAT I TRY TO SHOW YOU HERE. SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT WE HELPERS WILL ANSWER TO YOU FIRST, BECAUSE WRITING IN ALL CAPS LOOKS SO VERY URGENT AND IMPORTANT, BUT IN FACT NOBODY LIKES ALL CAPS THROWN AT US LIKE THIS.

All questions are answered, no need to look bigger or more important than others.

Before you start your own discussion, consider what your issue is about and in which category of the forum it belongs. Go to that section and see if maybe there is a discussion about that topic already. You could also use the search function on the upper right. It‘s not perfect, but maybe it helps you.
If you are really lost, go to the „Weekend helper‘s corner“, we will help you out! 👍

To start your own discussion, you tap on the according blue button on the upper left in your category:

Choose your discussion title wisely! You can edit your posts later, but you can’t edit the title.
„Help“ or „Stuck“ are amongst the worst titles, so give people an idea what your problem is about.

If you prefer to post in an existing thread, make sure that you are „on topic“ by reading in there, before you post. Sometimes the answer to your question is only a short scroll above 😉

If you are off-topic by mistake, we might move your post into another thread, new or existing, or into another category.

You always find your own posts by tapping on your username and then on „Profile“.

ADVANCED FORUM ACTIVITY

There are several ways to interact with other players in this forum.

Underneath each post you find three options: LIKE, REPLY and •••

With tapping LIKE you show that you share this opinion or find the post interesting or funny.
Underneath posts of other players (not your own posts) you also find an emoji symbol.

Tap on it and choose from 6 emojis for a quick feedback

To undo your choice, make a 🌵🌸, that means, tap again on the emoji that you placed under a post. That’s called a @CactusFlower, in honor of the person that inspired me to explain this here.
You can 🌵🌸 at once, if you chose by mistake, or any time later, if you change your mind.

If you tap „REPLY“, this player can get a notification that you replied to his/her post.
Notifications are shown by the little bell besides the username (top right corner).

To get these notifications yourself, you have to check your settings that you find when tapping on your username.

Adjust them to your liking. Here you see my settings:

You see that I activated „Automatically follow discussions that I reply to“.

You can follow discussions also by tapping on the „Follow“ button on the right side of a discussion.
When activated, it turns blue and reads „Following“.

You use the REPLY button underneath a certain post, if you want to reply to this post and this player.
If you just want to add a post to the discussion in general, scroll down to „Now“ and post in the „Write reply“-window. Or tap the big „Reply“ button on the right. In both cases, „reply“ means your contribution to the subject in general, without addressing a certain player.

The „Reply“ and „Follow“ buttons on the right side might not be visible on a narrow screen.

For quick movement in long discussions there is a vertical bar on the right side, that leads you to the original entry post, to the latest post („Now“) and to anywhere in between.

Depending on the width of your device, if it is narrow (mobile in portrait mode), you will find this option instead on the very top, where the number of posts shows up. Tap on that and you get the quick-movement bar. The „Follow“ option will also be on top, above the original post of a discussion, on such devices.

Tap on the three dots underneath one of your posts

and find an „Edit“ function there. With that you can make changes in your post, add or delete content.
With the „Delete“-function, well… you‘re an advanced forum user now and that one is easy: You delete your post. While it’s invisible for others then, you still can see it and you can restore it in the same way if you deleted it by mistake or change your mind later. (Three dots and „Restore“.)

The same three dots underneath posts of other players contain a „Flag“-function for inappropriate content. Fortunately we really don’t need that often here.

In addition to the „Reply“-function you can also „mention“ or „tag“ other players.

If you should want to tag me, for example because you want to have a title of your discussion changed, you start with the @ symbol. And yes, as soon as you do that, there will be a little pop up window. Don‘t worry, just start directly after the @ without a blank with typing MadameCurie. After some letters, my username will be shown in the pop up window and you can tap on it. Alternatively you could ignore the pop up and type all my name directly after the @.

You will get this: @MadameCurie . In your writing window you will see a strange number after my name, and it’s in „“, but when you post, those don’t show. My name is marked in blue-ish grey (grey-ish blue?) and I get a notification and will come to the rescue .🚑

This is an example only. You can tag every player. With usernames it’s way easier. At the start however, everybody is a „pixel_player with a number“. You can tag those players also, start with the @p and pixel_player usernames will show up. I suggest you make sure to not mix them up 😉

I‘ll have to warn you though, it takes some multiple logging in and out, but you will manage, as you are an advanced forum user by now 😊👍

As such, here is the 🍒on top:

If you write in a discussion where I posted, and then start to tag me with the @ symbol and the first letters of my name, then the pop up window will show my name AND something starting with „Reply to #…“

The first will tag me and looks like this @MadameCurie

The second will reply to a post of mine and looks like this MadameCurie

Actually this difference is not so important as I will get notifications anyway. It just could confuse you why my name shows up several times in this pop up window, and looks differently there. Mind you, this is forum pro stuff now, for sure! 😄👍

👉 Keep in mind that not everybody has notifications activated or does check the bell symbol. Some of us just prefer a forum experience without ringing door bells, others are not aware of this feature.

Quotes

Sometimes you want to quote parts of post that you want to reply to.
Tap on the text and mark the part that you want to quote. A pop up window above offers copy and other options, but you choose the „Quote“ option that shows UNDERNEATH:

That leads you directly to a writing window with the quote in it.

You can quote several times in one post, it just takes a bit of practice to see your writing window or the part of the discussion that you need properly. The bigger your screen, the easier it is.

Tap inside your writing window, then scroll there, tap outside and then scroll outside of that.

That’s if you want to type a quote. Never happened to me, quoting by copying is explained one post earlier.

Forget about that one. For our forum nobody needs it. It came with the forum software/text editor and could be of use in a technical forum.

⬆️ Add a link

I never use this. If there is a link that you want to share, visit that website, tap on the URL/address bar, mark and copy, then insert in your post where you want to have it. You don’t need this button for that.

⬆️ Add a picture

I never use this one. The first one that I mentioned above is way faster and much more comfortable in my view. If you copy a picture and insert it in with this button, your post shows the URL and not the picture itself.

⬆️ Add a bulleted list

If you

have a lot of things to say
want to structure your content
like bulleted lists

.. then you use this function 😉

The bullets will look differently in writing window and post.

⬆️ Add a numbered list

You are a forum pro by now
So you wouldn’t need an example for that
BUT as you dutifully tap the function repeatedly, always number 1 shows up in your writing window
So that could confuse you. But all is well, just post, and you will see that the numbers are correct.
I have no idea, why this is 😄

⬆️ just an @ that you could also type on your keyboard. Used to tag/mention other players. Remember to put no blank in between the @ and the username. @ MadameCurie doesn‘t work, @MadameCurie does. And don’t worry about the number in your writing window, it will not show in the post.

Little advanced high level Forum Pro extra info:

When you come across a post like this one

which replies to user SkoRen, and you are curious what our beloved maverickdomme is referring to, you maybe scroll up and up and don’t really find that SkoRen post, because maybe there are so many posts and sometimes the scroll bar jumps and you are confused where you are in this big thread.

There is an easy way out, if someone replies to a post without quoting it:
Just tap on the grey username that has been replied to. In mavericks post that is SkoRen.
There comes a pop up that reads you the original message to which she replied.
