SkoRen @Good! What gamemaster recommended I think is what you should go by. It all depends on your camp. Mine is totally different. I think that that piece will do alright. There will always be more.

SkoRen I have to improve my night camp's capacity, but I'd like to use the new items for "a long time" (not just 1-2 months) 😁

If an item requires rare materials (e.g. jewels, gems, the best caravan ticket alloys), I'll only buy them if the will be in my camp a long time (generally that means they are at least in the upper half of my camp equipment and better than most event item equipment).

If the item just requires coins and event items or plentiful materials, the bar is much lower. I'll get it even if it will be out of my camp in a few months.

I have not had a coal problem for a long time. End of Scandinavia or early China I think. I had a huge wood problem in Atlantis but I never used much wood at all in China. Also a bit of a lobster problem in Atlantis. Octopus is great in Greece for now because of red rings but on the flip side, I will run short on lobster now.

SkoRen I'm on an extended 10 hr "lazy" night camp at the moment so lowest is +1830. If I were to reset it back to 8 hours then it would be +1900. Lowest regen +212, switching to +209 on the 8 hour setup. Been in Atlantis about a year & around half way through questline. Literally just about to level up to 407 🙃.....

18 months is normal for Atlantis. I was pushing 21 due to real life.

OldTimer I've been in Atlantis at least 4 months I think, so still a newbie, especially because I haven't been playing in it at all for the first couple of months. I've only done Gaia so far...

My take on regioning up. Egypt to Scandinavia was a shock at first but I adjusted quickly. Scandinavia to China was worse as that was at the beginning of segmented events plus silly me did not leave enough time to clear the repeatables so I struggled the first couple events. China to Atlantis was a bit of a shock but I had lobster and stuff from unsegmented events plus I made sure to leave enough time to open the repeatables. Only mistake I made was not enough coins. Atlantis to Greece was pretty easy thanks to lots of coins and the new caravan tickets, which allowed me to dump a bunch of materials that I had accumulated. I still have a bunch to get rid of but caravan tickets are not always worth it to dump them.
One thing I love is that events always give the next regions gem so you can somewhat plan the tile costs.

MadameCurie Just got back from real life to see you off to bed !! Funny enough the posts today were quite interesting ( as always) LOVE U GUYS/Ladies - yesterday I tried to spend time reading all 1178 posts from the previous rainbow thread - but my eyes eventually went buggy 🤪 and today RL got in the way and had to go shopping - for food - WOW... the nerve of my tummy (and Cuddles of course). 🐶

I ended up trying to figure out where everybody was in Diggy and started a spreadsheet marking down that info (and where the ForumFriend lived etc. NOW I feel a little bit like a stalker !! 😀)

But I have been playing since Easter 2018 making up my own strategies as I went along and it is so wonderful to see all the ideas that flow between you diggers. Thanks again !! I am in Greece (even though I am not an official Forum-member) And I appreciate all the ideas.... like it is kinda a relief to be in Greece and not have the lumber monkey on my back anymore. AND the sea soup so far is my favorite. In Atlantis I was lobster maniac !!! Off to dig take care !!

No clue when I entered China but I think it was around January 2018 as I remember playing Junglanji in China. It might have been sooner though but I do not know. I entered Atlantis around Players Event 2019 as I still have the China Summer Builder Trophy from right before then. Then Greece was April of this year.
Honestly if I could go back further in my older posts I could find out exactly but I cannot.

You clearly have been digging for a while but when I put my cursor over your avatar it says Joined Joined Sept 9, 2020. I am assuming that is related to the forum ???. Long time ago I made Abhi and Blame the Parrot laugh when I asked them why I was at level 0 and they were at level 4325 (or something) I had always admired anybody that could have gotten to that level in Diggy - BUT they said - NO - that was just their "forum level" which was before we got "players champions and moderators" etc. 🤣😂🙄

Tigger1987 You know what's actually funny? 😆 I entered China before the player's event 2020 - you entered Atlantis around the player' event 2019 (I actually started playing Diggy some time after that). Then you got to Greece in April this year, the same time I got to Atlantis. 😆

By the way, I guess I have a 2-year Diggy-versary this September , how should I celebrate? 🥳 🎆 🎉 😛 🍰 🧁 🛠️

island-digger Yes.... I also have a partial list of where players are in the world & I also felt like a bit of a stalker 😂. Knowing the region & geographical location gives the posts a bit of context. Like if Happy or gamemaster posted right now it would probably be near bedtime, yet for you it's morning & for me it's mid afternoon 🙃. Would be amusing to have a team member based in Athens .... "I'm in Greece but also Scandinavia" 😆.....
Unfortunately I've still got "the lumber monkey on my back" <edit - love that phrase!> . Usually struggle to keep above 5 000 wood but have managed to jump up to 22 000 during RR week (which, for me, is luxury ☺). Just decided to get mats that would make my diggy life easier, so lots of wood & lobster. Taking it easy today.... finishing Summer Trip Challenge 3 & camp maintenance.....🙃

Thanks for the forum answer. I have over 4.5k eels and I keep sending them out to caravans during DP week as I keep getting more and more. I make sea soup 2 times a day as well and they are not depleting that much.

Lol way too funny reading back. But now off to set Diggy up for overnight, check Seaport forum and set that up for overnight, then play my other games, then finally bed. Hopefully by 10pm or 10:30 at the latest as 4:30am comes early. 😋
