gamemaster Also considering for us that to clear all Christmas it takes over 30 million and our camps don't reflect that amount.
And to be clear, that's 30 million for one of the Christmas events in Terra. Christmas 2020 plus Christmas 2021 require over 60 million in energy.
Some math on the benefit we are missing by not getting the clear bonus:
At level 600, leveling requires 49,316,000 experience and returns 1,007,250 energy.
That's about 0.02042 energy per experience point, i.e. a smidge more than 2%.
So, say I can get all the goodies out of a Challenge by spending 75% of the energy needed to clear it. How much energy do I get from the clear bonus to repay me for the additional energy spent?
If it is a new event, the clear bonus is approximately 10% of the mine's energy. Say the mine was a 1 million energy mine. I've already cleared 750,000 so I have to spend 250,000 more energy to clear it. For that I'll get a clearance bonus of 100,000 experience. That experience generates 2042 energy when I level. I've spent a quarter of a million in energy to get an extra couple of k in energy. I might as well go spend that quarter of a million somewhere more interesting and useful in the game.
If it is a rereleased event, the clear bonus is approximately 100% of the mine's energy. So, from our example million exp mine, I get a clearance bonus of 1,000,000 experience. That experience generates 20,424 energy - not even 10% of the extra I spent to clear. Still not very tempting. I might as well spend the energy somewhere more interesting or useful. Even if I spend it going back to clear uncleared regional mines or to do repeatables, I get materials from it in addition to experience.
At lower levels, the trade-off gets a bit better since leveling gives more energy per experience, but going down to level 150, it's about 5.5% - around 5500 or 55000 for new or rerelease events, respectively.
