I'm fed up of joining teams to be 'ejected'

I'm fed up of joining teams to be 'ejected' shortly afterwards. Is this a glitch or do team owners actually have the power to remove people? It also appears that many other people are also having this problem.

Yes they have. Better make a team with friends or start your own team and do it differently. There are different ways to use the team feature. Some do it rigorously for maximum ranking and throw out.
Others are friendly company, some make that clear in their team description.

brightcat I was very surprised to hear this was happening at all. I am sorry that it happened to you brightcat. I would not want to be on such a competitive team anyway. The main advantage of Teams are the materials one can get, after all. I find it pleasant to chat on Teams too. I hope you find a team more welcoming - or start one.

brightcat In the following thread players posted their team names with a description what they are looking for. Have a look maybe you find a team description you like, then you can search for this Team. The search function is case sensitive e.g. If someone posts "please join the team SuMmer" and you search for Summer or summer you will not find it. There are many teams out there who just enjoy to exchange some materials and/or short messages so don't give up there is a team for you 🙂

Nobody talks on the teams, Im not going to use a feature that I have to leave the game Im playing to go and chat.. if the chat box was open in the main screen maybe I would.

I gave feedback about bad vibes due to throwing out and pressure before that feedback thread. I feel confirmed in this regard. But I think that will stay unfortunately, because it is in the DNA of this team feature that some people can use it this way.

@Auli I hope you find a team, where the team description tells you that they are not in it for points but for company.

Same has happened to me! I was in the team “Tootsies” — ranked somewhere around 50 globally. I noticed that the team leader was changing the minimum score to a higher amount as soon as she hit it, and the person with the lowest score was gone right after.

She denied booting people. Which was obviously a lie, since she booted me today! Even though I had a higher score then a few.

I find the kicking of people in order to get a higher ranking distasteful.

I hear you. I joined a team whose description said that it's a no pressure team for introverts. The only drawback I find to that team is that nobody chats. So other than getting one or two pieces of lumber now and then I really don't see an advantage to team play anyway
