Why is the vulcano prison so bizar expensive

Part of this level got tiles from 7000-15000.
This is so boring to play, and good for nothing.
I understand that the shields are expensive. But 4 days or longer to get to the shield because your energy is gone after 10 tiles is stupid.
Hopefully there are not mush levels like this.

Egypt to Scandinavia is an increase of x6
Scandinavia to China is an increase of x3
China to Atlantis is an increase of x2
Atlantis to Greece is an increase of x1.8
Greece to New World is an increase of x1.4
New World to Terra is an increase of x1.25
