Stuck in stone pit

Hi. Am stuck in the stone pit (Egypt Anubis). The guard doesn't move after I talk to him. The guard at the top said the other guard at the bottom is stuck and to go and see him. Have dug all the tiles out around him but the guards don't move. The bottom guard says he'd rather be somewhere else and the top guard says stand erect, but is still blocking the way.

The quest is called "Stone Pit" in the game mine called "Stone Quarry" which also has a Side-quest attached to it called "Cave In".

Have you rescued all 10 orphans?

Get 1 Plate Piece of Anubis
Rescue 10 Orphans
Talk To Priest Of Anubis (City Of Luxor)
Talk To Thutmos The Guard (Stone Quarry)
