After a day, I am forced to conclude on the available data that there's simply no way to get further than the first three or four rewards without massive gem spending. Typical results from one cooking are in the double digits to low 1xx, with 200 maybe possible infrequently with luck. Assume four times a day (five or more, without spending gems to skip the cooldowns, would limit you to less than 8 hours of sleep a night), for 7 days, and the maximum realistically achievable with some luck but no gems is around 5600.
The top prize requires one to amass 90,000.
That's over 15x higher, so for every free cook you'd need 14 more via gems, which comes out to about eight thousand gems. For reference, maxing out both the energy saver and experience booster costs around 5000 and foing the card flip thingy fully is around 3500. The latter has comparable total rewards as this new thing, for less than half the gems.
This thing needs a major balance adjustment, at a bare minimum. It should probably be made possible to complete it without spending gems, since unlike the card game it is possible to continue without gems past any particular point and the only reason gems are needed in practice is the time limit. At the very least it should not need more than half the gems I calculated it currently needs, if the intent is for it to be like the card flip game in cost and rewards.
