@Diggy.Jones#393503 So let me first say n=7 and no statistician in the world will be impressed with that.
In did 7 runs since I have 24 ingredients and more. Before that it was really nothing at all worth while.
these 7 results do follow the predictions I did in wiki when making the strategies. Except for the part pre- maxed out. I had expected a bit more points with 20 ingredients etc. So I am behind on schedule but at the speed I was doing math with.
It looks like the magical number on the cooking grid is 20. That is close to 4-5k points and enough. Will be at 19 sometimes and maybe at 21. using the last 10 ingredients would be start at a risk of 30% failure and probably you have to agree paying 30 gems before taking step 21. So I simply place 19 ingredients blindly and only then look if a decision is needed. Helps you stay sane too, not overthinking early 2 chilis etc. This part is probably where you can improve a bit with experience

remains...I need 5-10 more attempts to be able to trust this more.

... and then came this run... 24 ingredients and only 185 pots after 90 gems spent and the 3rd chili in a row.
Who said that i´m lucky?

@Diggy.Jones#393519 I will not save more than once. Some you have to let go. If really needed, I would rather spend the 60 extra gems on a speedup of cooking and have another go.

Complex Where does it say that the maximum is five chilies?

after you get the 5th chili on the 15th spin, the chili bar disappears. nobody's gotten another chili after that. I've got 20 non-chili ingredients and still only 5 chili.

After my 5th spin i spent some gems for 25 additional spins.
The 15th spin added the 5th chili and then the chili bar vanished.
I still have 5 chilis after the 30th spin.
Could be a bug or there is a maximum of 5 chilis (please pixel confirm that!)

@Chani posted this in another forum thread in relation to that there will be NO Cooking Grid available on Monday.

Which I think is extremely unfair on players.... especially those players who have invested gems to gain all the ingredients quickly.

The Cooking Grid will expire before the Rewards do.

I don't know whether this means that the repeatable mine & Ingredients Spinner will also stop working on Monday also.

However I'm assuming as the Cooking Grid is going to expire on Monday that it seems pointless to continue to clear the repeatable mines & collect ingredients.

Chani just a heads up... there's no cooking on monday. there goes 4-5 free cooks and spins.

explains, with some bizarre reassurance at the beginning that the "event" stays open (by which they mean just the rewards bar).

Everything in this event is unfair to the players.
I will test it out until the bitter end.
Had another 3rd chili on 18 and 180 gems spent to reach 20.
The chance of this to happen is around 5% and it happened to me 4 times now.
All of those bad attempts make more sense when the chance of getting a chili is doubled, so i will calculate with 10 chilis.

After having "played" this event for the week, I can firmly say that the only winning move is not to play.
Absolutely garbage event, worst I have seen in my entire time playing DIggy (for years), and looking around the forum, I'm not the only one that thinks so.
I'm holding out hope that this was a one-off tuning mistake or something on the devs' part, but the cynical part of me (99%) is sensing that this is a sign of things to come.
PF has already ruined Seaport with excessive monetization and turned a deaf ear to the complaints on that forum, is Diggy next?

Pixel have given players the opportunity to leave their feedback in relation to the Chilli Out Event

Not sure how long the survey will be open for though....so might be a good idea to participate as soon as possible
