I hoped that it won't drain our energy, since it's one repeatable, so I'm happy that's the case. 😄 Everyone can do this and Easter 2020 without problem.
I kept going to the 50 pots mark, and gave up then because I had 2 chillies, so I'm happy with my 65 pots on the first go 😉
I think this will be fun, the equipment looks good, as for getting to it... we'll see... I think it will be fun trying... 😆

I got 65 pots too - but the first equipment piece takes 53,000 pots. At this rate I could run the thing a thousand times (instead of the 28-ish I expect) and still not get half the equipment.
My first and third rolls were chili, so I actually took a risk just getting to 65; I'm going to get even less than that sometimes. a full third of my bag is chili right now.
Anyone know how fast the chili bar fills up? if it's every third ingredient we're gonna have a bad time.

PS: anyone else finding the forum incredibly slow today? I've had to go off to another window and do something else while I wait for a page to load or comment to post. not sure if it's the forum or my computer.

Chani I dug the repeatable couple times played the event too. Fortunately it seems to be much less than that.

And because of that, I expect the bag to eventually have more ingredients than chilies. Which would mean getting to farther milestones and getting more combo bonuses, hence getting lot more points, atleast towards the end of the week.
But then, in my attempt, I also ended up receiving a lot of other things (non-materials) before actually getting a material. That took the bar almost halfway from 0. So let's see where we can get to.

And yes, I have experienced a slow forum today.

Chani After my 2nd turn, I realize that the key to getting more pots will be the same ingredient bonus. Like the 1st time, I used only 7 ingredients, 2 chillies & 5 ingredients, but because I got the same ones twice, I ended up with 105 pots instead of 65. So, yes, collecting more of the same ingredients and getting them in the same pot to get the bonus would be crucial.

Chani I think I got lucky, the first and second times doing the kitchen I got 90 and 95 pots respectively. But even at this rate, I think I would at most make it halfway through the food rewards in the rewards bar.

oh neat, abhi's video shows the double ingredient bonus doesn't have to be consecutive. that changes the math considerably...

also, undoing the third chili costs 30 gems - edit: starting a new pot actually costs 50 gems, ouch. so it is cheaper than starting over. edit: the second time costs 60 gems though, and since the chili goes back in the bag, it's probably best to finish immediately after spending the gems.

have to wait for an additional 4 hours.

So it seems the timer starts with visiting this kitchen, not with the cooking. Didn’t know that and am frustrated right now... first try had been three chilis in places 2, 4 and 5 and only 30 pots...

Go play easter event 😊

Also if the game crashes while cooking, the timer resets without getting any pots. <sigh>.

I do find it odd that abhi's ingredient stock in the spinner apparently started at 4. mine were all at 5; the rest of the items were the same as his, which comes out to 50 items available; way more than the 28 I'd get normally. I could spend up to 440 gems on extra refreshes if I wanted to get an early ingredient boost.
edit: mine are down to 4 now! 😛 darn. so that's 45 items total. I did one gem refresh, but since the timer counts from the last clear I'm gonna do the rest after my last free one in the evening.

also, the pot items... I think the single was 55 and the triple was 295? if there were 0 when the video started. it's hard to tell. edit: wiki says 50 and 300. that means 5 mystery pots in the video, which I think came from resetting the game mid-cook.

After reading all the information on this event it seems to start out slow and difficult to get to the end prize. However, if you keep playing every 4 hours the number of pots earned will increase, making it easier to get to the end of the line of prizes by the end of the end of the event! Save your tickets won until the weekend and play them at that point when you will have more ingredients and the odds of getting three chilis quickly while cooking is lowered. You will go further when cooking, or at least that's what the literature says in the forums and on wiki. 🙂

I did it once & decided then that I am not going to play the chili game. Just do the Easter one.
From the comments I have read I was correct in doing so

There is absolutely NO necessity to spend gems on this mini game.

You can play it for free every 4 hours.

I definitely will not be spending any of my 11554 gems on this......I consider gems to be a precious commodity that i have been stockpiling for months.

I plan to play it like hedgehogs have sex: Very, very carefully.
No gem spending. Stopping at two chillis. Take whatever pots come easily and take whatever reward comes easily.

Some like lucky games, I don’t and I will only play the safe part. My mini-courage faded with the first chilli soup taste 😉

I like that they still leave this option for people like me. Some little rewards are better than nothing and my main activity is the story anyway.
