If you want to send your Caravans to a special destination based on your region, you scroll past the usual destinations / materials offered in the Caravan building & pick what you want. Note that you not only have to use a Caravsn Ticket but also regional materials & coins to buy those special destinations.

Unused items of old events

I finished some old events and left quite a few material that I couldn’t / didn’t even want to use.

For example:
Detective Stories I. — Handcuffs (164).
Christmas 2012 — Ribbons (25), Jingle Bells (1), Elf Socks (7), Honey (1129), Spices (1).
Arabian Nights — Fava Beans (2).

And there are many more events that leave unused material after completion.
What about these?
Can I change these items to coins?

In the past sometimes there came a merchant to your diggy camp, approximately twice a year and you could sell him such stuff. Only story items, no ingredients for food.

I wish he would come for a long time, I'm drowning in stuff like that as well.

You can still make story recipes if you have all ingredients needed.

Mostly there are leftovers unfortunately.

I once suggested a kind of "leftover recipe" for the kitchen to get rid of them...

To make the OT complete (sorry OP), I just wondered whether I should name my wish list for stories "WISH YOU WERE HERE" in my other thread some minutes ago.

Decided against it and - somehow the thought fits for this subject with the trader precisely.
Maybe you are right, I will start wishing for better camp equipment right away 😂

They would certainly not give that much 😢, as the value of food that can be prepared in 100 gem events is very low (45-150). They are above 300 only if we also add equipment component.
