You can try some basic troubleshooting techniques such as:
Make sure you are using the most up-to-date versions of the game app, Facebook, Google Play, browser, phone/device/PC operating systems, etc. (depending on what you are playing).
You can also try uninstalling & reinstalling the game app, Facebook, Google Play, browser, etc. (but only do this if you have saved the game progress and player ID with your email address or Facebook account).
First & foremost....write down your player ID number before you do anything...it can be found in the settings area of your game.
You can also try other things like:
- Log out and log in to the game app/browser/Facebook/portal/Google Play.
- Switch the phone/device/PC off & on again.
- Switch the internet connection/source off & on again.
- Try to use another internet source (WiFi or mobile data).
- Try to use a different browser.
Try using another phone/device/PC.
Another option is to try playing through the portal/Facebook/Google Play website instead of the mobile game app or vice versa.
