Pixel is running a 24 Hour Vintage Special Offer Week

So each day different items will be able to be purchased through the Special Offer area of the Shop.

But be quick because each Vintage Special Offer is only valid for 24 Hours.

Unfortunately for many of us those specials are useless and would have sufficed two(2) regions prior to where we are now.
So if they are good for you then get them while they last.

Thank you, I would have missed that because I check it only once in a week usually. The capacity equipment was too low for me as well, but the apple energy was good and today the 2 green rings were even cheaper than usually with this special offer (in Egypt one ring for 700 coins instead of 1000 coins
each)

I will spend those two rings with a little rememberance ceremony for you, Happy Haze 😉

I know for you long term diggers there is probably nothing of any use 😊👍

Maybe green rings or food items at a stretch?

But I just thought I'd put it there for any of the newer diggers that didn't have access to social media accounts.

thanks for writing about this, I was going to but couldn't remember long enough to reach the computer 🙂 the daily thing comes around just rarely enough that I'm not watching for it any more, and I hate missing the chance to at least see the offers.

today's offer is, hilariously, the most recent piece of capacity equipment that got ejected from my night camp. I don't want one any more let alone two, lol.

Today's non-gem offer is a piece of equipment I would have liked in Scandinavia or China, and I bought it in Atlantis. I'm in Greece now.

It is 214 regen and I see the one I bought in my backpack, five or six screenfuls' deep.

Unless we get another row or 2 for equipment, I will never be able to use it.

I am curious to know if anyone found today's non-gem item useful.

I'm in Scandinavia... right near the start...it's not useful for me now in either of my camp equipment line ups 😭

Neither was the capacity equipment on day 1 😭

AllMenAreIslands I came to Greece last Monday, and the today's non-gem offer ist useful for me. It's not a great one, you are right, but it replaces two of the Atlantis pieces, at least a my daytime camp.
I'm playing without a rush and don't buy stuff with real money, only the Birthday offer as a kind of "payment" for the game. Maybe i have an absolutely wrong strategy? It seems my camp isn't as strong as yours. Good for me, so i can be glad about new offers and don't have to moan about them::😉

Happy-Haze this provides more evidence that many regen and capacity items are incorrectly valued. The devs need to take into account the whole context that players have. If the item would only be worthwhile if it had been offered in the previous region, then why is it being offered at all?

It seems a little "bait-and-switch" to me - I.e., induce players to spend money on gems, perhaps, to buy the gem items being offered alongside the "useless" item?

pixel_player977957960 you make my point, thanks. Because the offers are not good for people who spent real money, it encourages LESS spending of real money. So if the goal was to encourage more spending of money -- and they are in business to make a profit -- it backfired.

congrats to you that you are able to use the piece on offer. I do think there is a disconnect by developers re the value of equipment vs the cost of tiles. I'm not one who "rushes" -- I complete every map, click every single tile. I don't leave stuff undone.

Just curious whether there was any notification or icon in-game alerting us to this that I missed?
I came across it by clicking the specials tab by accident but missed the first 4 days. Sounds like the equip was kinda shoddy but I am bummed as I could have probably used it now that I just switched to a new region.
I don't have social media and usually only check the specials tab once a week.
Edit: Just double checked it also wasn't mentioned in the "news and announcements" weekly post on this forum. Don't they typically say something about the Thursday offer if it is going to be different? I'm not loving getting penalized for NOT having Facebook!

Marika. You don't need a facebook account to check their facebook page. You can still view the post without one.

But I agree, @RichardPixel @ROMI this is something you could include in the changelogs, what is coming on thursday, maybe a seperate post if it's something like this with chances of being missed.
