Spelunker Cave - Missing skull key

I've been going back to clear the locations that I left in Egypt but I seem to have a bug in the Spelunker cave where I am missing the skull key. I have pulled the leaver and opened the chest opposite the gate but still no key.
Is there a way to fix this?

Restart game to see if that helps.
If not then Contact SUPPORT

Look half way down for support option.
On your game screen, choose the Settings cog (Mobile, upper left corner; PC, upper right corner)
If you're on an iOS device, try the SUPPORT link, but if you don't see any categories below the search box, then you'll need to email them.

pixel_player8078517 Usually 2 days, excluding weekends. Contact again if you don't receive reply in 4-5 days. Be sure to check spam folders too
