Why is the tile costs so high but the equipment for this so low? I know it’s an old one and the equipment is usually low value but the tiles are usually lower too.

ItsNanna Not really. Did you enter a new region last week? The costs depend on the region and same region cost isn't different from what usually is the cost.

This Event was from 2018, so it's still a segmented Event & the tiles costs are based on your region. If by chance you're near the end of your current region, then yesh, the equipment eventually does nothing for you. I've been in China so long, I either use all the collected Achievement items on food or hold onto them if there's a chance of the Event being re-released once I've reached Atlantis.
