So can regular players see this? Players on the forum aren't happy they only got less than a days notice about the sale since I didn't get a chance to peruse FB. Events changing (particularly Christmas 2015.)
Leads me to believe they can't see it...and unfortunately, I'm just now reading it.

I agree less than a days notice seems quite unfair.

I would have expected at least a week's notice prior to Pixel removing any story from either the 100 gem sale or from the shop completely.

I think they should have also put a pop up information screen within our games....so no one misses out on the information if they haven't looked in this forum or on Pixels numerous social media pages.

I personally would also like to see a countdown icon....as Pixel does with new stories, re-released stories, special weeks/events, shop specials & packages.

Regular players couldn't see it because it had the deleted tag at first, and when the deleted tag was removed, the changes had obviously already occurred.

And thank you for your feedback on this. Although I personally do not understand, how exactly it would help the players to have the information a week earlier. The discounted prices came to the game as a surprise from one day to the next and nobody protested. We informed all players that the stories are discounted only until further notice, not forever. We made sure to inform the players about the changes, so that they are aware of the changes.

The discontinuation of discount on Christmas 2015 wasn't really announced. Only a handful of people knew about this before it was discontinued as a surprise, which violates the above statement.
Ofcourse you are free to discontinue it anytime, just some info that this was coming would have been nice.

It's the best story in the game, I'm quite sure many would have purchased it for 100 gems if they knew it won't be available for 100 anymore.

ROMI just want to say thanks for having Christmas 2015 on special for such a long time. I got to play it over and over until I was sick of it, then took a break, then played it again a few more times. A great run and all the extra gems financed my full participation in two tiered offers.

Am adding my vote to putting News & Announcements instead of Changelogs. While kind of cute & unusual, Changelogs just isn't as straightforward.

Let me disagree with this statement - I personally wrote this changelog and it says: "the story Christmas 2015 will be offered again at its original price in the shop". We also released this information one day before on Facebook. I understand what you are trying to say, but we reserve rights to decide, which information will (and will not) be displayed in the "news" in the game. I believe that Christmas 2015 was in the game at the discounted price for sufficiently long time to allow the players to purchase it and play it, even multiple times. I personally do not believe that one week would play an important role in decision, whether to purchase this story (again) or not. But this is, of course, a discussion, in which both of us have two contradictory opinions and none of them is absolutely correct in 100% occasions. I am grateful that you brought this to our attention and we will take this into account when making further changes like this one. At the time being, there's nothing else we can do in this particular situation.

ROMI Oh I might have misinterpreted that comment. I was thinking it meant you'll inform "before" you discontinue the discount.
The change that was made is announced nicely, I don't disagree with that.

Although people in the fb groups and forum were aware of this coming change one day prior. By "not really announced", this is what I was meaning. Only limited people knew this 1 day prior. I was among those who knew so I don't have a complaint, just that either everyone should have known or no one.
You said you announced one day prior on facebook, but I didn't find any such post on the public facebook page and I don't know how many would be a part of the private groups.

But anyway, thank you for providing this discount for such a long time! It was there for over 4 months while initially you said just 2 weeks. The discounts ofcourse continue for other stories and now people will actually have a variety instead of doing christmas 2015 repeatedly.

I would like to share my thoughts on events and the sale in general.

While playing another mobile game i saw an ad about Diggy and decided to try it. On July 2nd i started playing and one or two days later i played my first event.

The equipment from Armageddon and Baseball pushed my regeneration that much that i could finish them in 2-3 weeks. I was hooked on events. Soon i was too strong for egyptian events and had to push for scandinavia.
After scandinavian main (for the repeatables) i started playing older events to push my regeneration even more.
On Tuesday (after i missed Xmas´15) i started 6 older events (with 15 repeatables) to optimize for production week and postcard week (which i heard of in the Forum). Without the sale i probably would have played only one or two events.

Why is it that much important for me to play that many events?

Events are the best source of regeneration equipment which is important to speed up your progress through the game. That progress improvement is very important for new players who start in a game that runs for years and cheap beginner events is a way to handle it.

Please look at the older events as a speed improvement and tell me if Easter 2013 for example would be worth 500 gems (15€)? Any 10$ special offer gives me the same progress or more. The sale was a necessary adjustment to make older events worth playing. Without a doubt was Xmas ´15 to cheap for what it offers but most events aren´t worth 500 gems to me. So i keep playing events as long as they are on sale and will be more picky when the sale is over.

Look at the sale as a marketing strategy not as a gift.

In my personal opinion....perhaps a completely separate area in the forum could be made that is specifically designed to post ONLY information such as news, updates, changes, offers, specials, etc.

Maybe this specific "News" area could be set up so only Pixel employees & forum moderators/administrators are the only people able to post threads in it so that it doesn't get overrun & confusing with normal players postings.

Unfortunately unless players actually looked in either the "Events" or "General" section of this forum they would have missed out on this announcement.

Not every player has social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

I personally do not have such social media accounts myself (due to personal safety & privacy reasons from family violence).

So I personally rely heavily on this forum & I'm sure there are many other players in the same situation.

I'm sure this is a great change in the right direction.

Here's some of my personal opinions and suggestions:

A section for known issues would be nice as well (maybe convert this into a announcements section rather than just changelogs) and any known issues can be posted which will be updated as you work on it. Reason being whenever some issue occurs, numerous players flood general section and quite sure support tickets too. So such a thread would be nice to know the status, you can even link to this thread from your support tickets so players will stay updated. Eventually players will get a habit of checking in here if something is wrong and you'll probably have less support tickets to answer.

Apart from just Tuesday changelogs, perhaps you could post the sneak peeks on mondays here similar to what is being done in private/admin FB groups.
Another thread that would possibly suit this section would be a link to the pixel news video.

I'd also love some of the challenges you usually host on FB for the forum as well (like find the path and 10 of you will get some gems or so). Not everyone is on FB and we just miss out on those.

Or is it only going to be Pixel employees that can post & manage threads in here?

I personally think that both Pixel employees & the forum moderators/administrators should be able to post & manage threads in here.

I think if it's possible.....normal players should not be able to posts threads in here.....as the whole idea of this specific "News & Announcements" section is not to be overrun by non important information.

As a non social media user I would absolutely love to see ALL those different challenges, quizzes, puzzles, etc that appear on the other social media pages to be accessible to all of us non social media users.

It would certainly make it a much more fair & even game playing experience for everyone.

Therefore no one gets left out then just because they aren't a social media user such as myself.

Good to see that great minds think alike.

I used to work in sales, marketing, advertising & promotions....from my personal & professional experience the more user friendly, straight forward & understandable you can make information the more effective it will be.

Using "commonly known" words & phrases are much easier for the "lay person" to understand (no discrimination or disrespect intended).

In my own personal opinion I think the word "Changelogs" is not overly descriptive, indicative or associative of what information you are likely to locate there.
