Ok, I've managed to get this far in the game without ever getting stuck on a mirror challenge.
Probably because I'm quite bright and I'm actually pretty good at mirror challenges, and I enjoy them.
This one is frankly ridiculous. I don't think I've ever spent more than an hour on any mirror challenge in the entire game, probably not more than half an hour, after spending 2 hours actually getting to the last stage and then going round in circles for an hour getting pretty much nowhere, I finally gave in and came here for the solution.
2 more hours and it's done, BUT, the picture solution here is difficult, and that's the solution!
I doubt I would have ever solved this mine without it, but I'm absolutely sure that well over half (probably more) won't be able to solve it WITH it.
That's playing on a PC with a good size monitor. I doubt Einstein and Kasparov together would solve it on a phone with or without the solution, and a lot of players play on phones.
It's not just the complexity of the problem, it's the randomness of the complexity of the problem, there are 8 screenshots to work through in the last section and for that to be a solution that can be understood by most people you need to make that about 24 screenshots with better instructions, or people will get here and spend a week on it and then walk away from the game in disgust.
I don't mind however difficult a problem is as long as it's fun trying to solve it, because this is after all a game.
This wasn't fun. And without a better explanation of the solution, as I've said, for most people, they just won't be able to do it.
