Connect Apple account

I have been playing using my Apple account. I want to connect to my portal account so that I can get the rewards but there does not appear to be a way to do this.

Unless you are playing as a GUEST on Mobile (never registered), you should be able to use your mobile credentials on the Portal. That would give you access to the freebies symbol at the top of the portal, and decorations. However, to get windmills/god-children/gifting, your mobile account would have to have been registered to link via Facebook.

Unless you are playing with an account linked to a GOOGLE/GMAIL account, whatever credentials you use to login in the portal can be used to log in and play on Mobile. WORD OF CAUTION THOUGH: Make sure that you are NOT playing as a GUEST on mobile before you do this. Logging off of a GUEST account on mobile and then logging in to the account that you normally play on the portal can cause you to be unable to get back to the GUEST account again. You'd have to get Pixel Support to help you recover the progress of the GUEST account.

Before you do anything, make sure you have written down the Player IDs and registered credentials for both of your accounts. No credentials needed for Facebook - it uses a cookie; no credentials needed for Google/Gmail - that also uses a cookie.

I play as a guest, I do have my player ID, is it possible to sign in with my Apple ID?

It has to be an email address (other than a Gmail address) or a connection to Facebook. If you use the email address option, watch for an email confirmation with the activation button.

Hopefully we can get someone with iOS device experience to weigh in on this, but checking online it looks like Apple has its own email domain (iCloud.com) that you might be able to use.

Playing as a guest is a bit risky so make sure you've got your Player ID written down somewhere.

red_herring Yes I have my Player ID, made a screenshot of it. And I do have an iCloud email from Apple, but I am simply afraid to sign in with my Apple ID and then loosing my progress.

Yes, that's certainly a valid concern. But Pixel Support can help you get the account registered, so you'd be in good hands. You are probably better off doing it now than after the crisis of a system crash, but it's up to you.

To contact Pixel Support:

On your game screen, choose the Settings wheel in the upper corner. Write down your Player ID and then choose the Support button.

Do not use the white text box in the center of the screen.

Choose a category at the bottom of the page. Then provide your Player ID, Web-based game vs. Mobile, and problem details.

If you do not see the category options on the SUPPORT page, you'll need to email PIXEL Support at: support@diggysadventure.com . Be sure to include your Player ID.

red_herring thank you so much with this comforting message. I will tomorrow contact the Pixel Support and I do hope that they can help me. It would be bad when I loose everything, including my money spend on this game. Not that I regret that, they are worth to buy items for such a great game.

Umm...i was just pointing out that gmail could be used as a sign in. I wasn't really addressing your situation.

But I truly do believe that the only way to sign in is thru an email address or Facebook. There's no option for an Apple ID.
If your game isn't registered AT ALL, have Pixel connect it to your current portal account (the one you're using to post.) I realize its a pain to type in an email address into the app (I have 3 different ones) but if you never reinstall the or clear the data, you'll only need to type it once.

If you have other reasons for wishing to sign in via Apple, then only SUPPORT can help.

BlameTheParrot you are right there is no option for Apple ID, but there is an option sign in with Apple and that I want to use. I have already had contact with Pixel Support to ask for helping me with that.

Just basing that on this statement found under Connect Accounts:

You can also connect your progress with Google if you wish to. However, please note that this login option isn’t available on mobile devices for all Pixel games.

I have a Gmail account. On PC, I play it through the portal using the Google login button.
On Mobile, I use Chrome Browser in Desktop View and use the Google login button.

Are you saying that on for your Scandi account on mobile, you use a Gmail address and password on the left side of the Login screen?

red_herring Yes. I login via the left side of the screen. I've never used the sign in with Google button.

PS: 'if you want to guarantee you'll be able to sign in always, regardless of whether the "sign in with Google" works, click the CONNECT ACCOUNTS button & connect the email address to your profile.

Ok, great. Hope they can help.

My guess is instead of a "connect with Google button on the Porral, you show Connect with Apple, which is fine & very doable on the Portal side. But even the Android app only has either Facebook or email sign in options. So unless the iOS app is different, you still need to sign in there with an email address.

Please let us know how Pixel resolves this for you. It would be good info for us to know in case this ever comes up again🙂

BlameTheParrot Sign In with Apple is at the same screen as the Sign in with Facebook and Portal. My experience with other games is that you get than a pop-up screen with your name, email address and the option hide my e-mail address. That really works fine for me.

As soon as I know how this is resolved by Pixel, I will leave the solution here.

As promised I would send here the solution. As I have understand it is not possible to do this when you are already playing the game, that’s why I had to make an account via de laptop on their website.
Today I got this email about the sign in with Apple from the Pixel support:
Hello Truus,
thank you for your message.

Yes, indeed, there is an option to login via Apple ID on the mobile device, although this option is in our game very shortly and since you have created your game account before this option was available, it is not possible to connect your account to Apple ID.

Please note that with Email login you can load your game on any mobile device whereas the Apple ID is connected to the specific device model and thus it is not possible to log in with the Apple ID on a different device.

wait, does that mean that a user whose ipad breaks and has to be replaced could lose their game? or at least have to contact support to retrieve it? or does it just mean that they can only log into it from their own iphone/ipad?
I've only had an apple account for a job, and I only had the one device, so I have no idea how they handle users with multiple devices. seems weird that they can't just tie it to the email address that comes with an apple account, but, apple hasn't exactly been playing nice with other companies lately.
