If I'm understanding you, you don't have the pieces of the upper right bridge that attach to the islands on the left and right.
I've looked at 4 videos and none of them are panning up enough for me to tell when those pieces appear.
In one of the videos, after arriving at the islands screen, I didn't think they were there (again hard to tell). But later, after Diggy did a whole lot of lever switching, as Diggy was walking across the bridge toward lever 7 the two connecting parts were there. That makes me think that one of the levers on the right half of the islands screen opens them, but the game never zoinked over to show that.
So, unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions for you other than to keep trying all the levers on the screen with all the islands.
