I am playing the mobile version and completed the level including all tiles and opening the present and the fireworks are still sitting on the spot. Don't recall seeing any crow.

Well... I have fireworks on one mobile account. I have a crow on a different mobile acct (but I may have played on my PC), and I have a crow on another account that I only play on PC.

I too have a crow on that spot in the Birthday Cabin. And I know I completed this quest. There will be a spot for fireworks when completing the 8th Birthday Party that has 231 tiles. Hope this helps. 🙂
Update: just watched the Birthday Cabin video at the 9:39 time Diggy places the fireworks. And if you wait until about 9:54 when Linda's bubble message disappears but the Cleared Location pop up is still up; the crow is there to moving his wing (note it is very dim; but the crow is there.)

They are not used in the first location. They will be set off in the last location of the story.

I can't open the present the girl doesn't move she says "go help the others". This is the last thing to finish this level, I've cleared & put everything in its place. Playing mobile.

Make sure that you have:

set the 5 chairs
put the record on the record player
placed the 4 balloons
placed the 4 pastries
placed the fireworks on the target
connected the plugs in the tent

Not sure if getting the green apple from the kitchen and taking it back to the portrait is needed for Linda to move.

If u open the present First before u are put the fireworks that you will not able to put the fireworks and we don’t get any treasure statue for the 8th birthdays! This is game can’t get any resolve the problem 🤔

Linda (theoretically) should not step side to provide access to the gift until all the tasks listed above are complete, including placing the fireworks. I don't think the green apple is necessary for that to happen.

The treasure part is inside the cabin, and unrelated to opening the gift.
The key is obtained by retrieving the green apple from the kitchen and taking it back to the portrait.

red_herring the crow is a red herring (if you pardon the pun) he goes there AFTER the fireworks, nothing to do with completing the map.

the last item is the apple for (in my case) the last key. and I walked past it loads of times.
