It seems if you don’t take the reward for clearing the location as quick as it appears on notification. It disappears and you don’t get the reward added to you

I still think they should make it more user-friendly. 😛

I had the same except that it didn't even appear on the screen for a short time and no rewards were given

This has been happening for about a week. I watch the ad, then the system timer goes into an endless loop of just spinning around and around ad infinitum. After 10 minutes or so, I have to close the game, and of course I never get that double reward. Totally angry at Pixel for this "false advertising" within the game. If the problem continues, I'll find the appropriate government agency to file a formal complaint against Pixel.

You could start by formally addressing the correct recipient. That is, if you want to formally follow your announcement instead of just letting of steam/producing hot air.
