I do find the signs but then have trouble finding the locations that belong to those signs. Also I see in YouvTube films that PC(?) Players have the possibility to see which tiles they hve missed. Would be handy for all players( or is it only available in paid version of game??)

There is no paid version of the game.
Tile Finder
There's a great tool under the Shop>Extras called The Last Tile Finder. It allows you to find the last 10 tiles in any mine EXCEPT the Repeatables.
Can be purchased for gems initially, but at Level 50 can be gotten for 50,000 coins.
Best bought with coins when you can afford them.
