Ive tried and tried to get past the lock and have searched for 2 days for the key. Im playing on the pc.

SanityzOvrtd You need to go down the ladder at the top. The key is in a tile at the top middle right.
Not everything you need will always be in the screen you are on. If there is some other screen you can access, then you should try looking there.
