I have a loaf of bread that I think I was supposed to leave by a bakery or somewhere in Robin hood but I can't find it. Did I already do what I was supposed to with the bread and it's just still in my inventory?

If you finished the Event Story / Quests that means you already completed the task the bread was needed for (Katniss Evergreen eats it in the last location.)

As stated above, a few Event materials have remained in the inventory & will disappear once the Event expires.

We can't tell if you put a loaf of bread out for the peasants, but many of us still have a loaf of bread in inventory after completing the quest.
