Make sure you click ACCEPT when claiming the gifted Events. Otherwise, you won't see it when you go back to your Maps page.
Just FYI, for the older events that are gifted to us, you have a week (there's a countdown timer) to claim /accept them. So if you're trying to finish Wild West 2, you can wait to accept Robin Hood.
